The Story Behind the Competition
In the drama, the contest is called The Table: K-Chef 2026 and is produced by Pyeonyeon Media, part of Korea’s leading food service company, Pyeonyeon Group. Each round gives the chefs a new theme, and they must impress with creative dishes. The winner takes home a cash prize and a chance to open a restaurant backed by Pyeonyeon Group.
The Big Rivalry
The main attraction is a revenge match between reclusive culinary master Kang Han (Ahn Hyo Seop) and head chef Cha Woo Jin (Chang Ryul). The two have faced off before in an international cooking competition, and now they meet again to settle the score.
