Filing for Love Episode 7 Heats Up the Love Triangle Between Shin Hae Sun, Gong Myoung & Kim Jae Wook

The office just got a whole lot more complicated. tvN’s sleek workplace rom-com Filing for Love is hitting its midpoint — and Episode 7 is set to blow the love triangle wide open in the most emotionally charged way yet.

Filing for Love: The Love Triangle That’s Breaking the Internet

On the previous episode, Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myoung) continued his relentless pursuit of Joo In Ah (Shin Hae Sun), who attempted to shut things down once and for all. Using the metaphor of a stuffed bear locked inside a claw machine, In Ah told Ki Jun plainly that a relationship between them was impossible — only for Ki Jun to actually win the bear and hand it to her with a simple, devastatingly confident declaration: “See? It’s not impossible.”

But the scene that truly set fandom ablaze came when Ki Jun accidentally stumbled upon Jeon Jae Yeol (Kim Jae Wook) — the composed, enigmatic chaebol heir — embracing Joo In Ah. Whatever secret ties In Ah and Jae Yeol share, they’re no longer hidden.

What to Expect in Episode 7 (Airing May 16, 2026)

The production team has teased that Episode 7 will bring an “unexpected crisis” to Ki Jun and In Ah’s budding romance — and judging by the newly released stills, the emotional fallout is going to hit hard.

In the preview images, In Ah and Ki Jun sit side by side on a bench — the stuffed bear in her hands, sorrow in her eyes. Ki Jun’s expression, meanwhile, is one of quiet, steely determination. Two people on the same bench, in completely different emotional worlds.

A second set of stills captures a frosty confrontation between In Ah and Jae Yeol — with In Ah delivering a cold warning while Jae Yeol’s usually composed expression finally cracks, betraying emotions he’s carefully kept under wraps until now.

All three characters are moving at once — each trying to protect what matters most to them, in their own way.

The Three Players — Who’s Who

Filing for Love — The Show You Should Already Be Watching

Created by Yang Hee-seung, written by Yeo Eun-ho (co-writer of the hit Crash Course in Romance) and directed by Lee So Hyun (Delightfully Deceitful), Filing for Love is a 12-episode workplace rom-com that premiered on tvN on April 25, 2026.

The premise: Noh Ki Jun was the golden boy of Haemu Group’s elite audit team — until a sudden demotion lands him under the authority of Joo In Ah, the youngest and sharpest audit director in the company’s history. She’s formidable, eccentric, and hiding something enormous. He’s determined, charming, and now assigned to investigate the office’s messiest internal scandals. Sparks — professional and otherwise — were inevitable.

Filming hit a brief delay in late 2025 when Gong Myoung was hospitalised for sudden hearing loss, but he recovered and resumed shooting in January 2026.

Why This Love Triangle Actually Works

Most K-drama love triangles feel forced. Filing for Love‘s works because both men represent something genuinely different for Joo In Ah — Ki Jun is chaotic energy, warmth, and the kind of persistent hope she doesn’t know how to handle, while Jae Yeol represents her hidden past, the secret she’s been protecting, and a world she thought she’d left behind. In Ah isn’t torn between two men. She’s torn between two versions of herself.

That’s what makes Episode 7’s bench scene — bear in hand, tears in eyes — feel like something far more than a standard love triangle cliffhanger.
