Filing for Love: Overview

Detail	Info
Drama Title	Filing for Love
Lead Cast	Shin Hae Sun, Gong Myoung, Kim Jae Wook
Total Episodes	12
Genre	Office Romantic Comedy
Where to Watch	Viki

1. The Ultimate Team-Up Against the Villain

Despite the blood-pressure-raising tension of the penultimate episodes, the office politics arc wraps up satisfyingly when In Ah, Ki Jun, and Jeon Jae Yeol (Kim Jae Wook) team up to bring down Jeon Seong Yeol (Kang Sang Jun) — an antagonist not only jeopardizing thousands of jobs but threatening the company’s entire stability. It is Ki Jun who comes through and convinces Jae Yeol to step forward.

The moment works because it draws on months of quietly built mutual respect between characters who were never quite allies and never quite enemies. Watching all three bring their individual strengths to one shared goal was one of the finale’s most satisfying payoffs.

2. Jae Yeol Getting His Freedom Back

After confronting his father and getting things back on track at the company, Jae Yeol completely distances himself from it — getting divorced and going on to live peacefully with his mother, something he clearly longed for throughout the whole show. He might have lost the place he fought tirelessly to get to, but in exchange, he gets his freedom back.

Kim Jae Wook’s natural charisma and stage presence make you wish to see more of him throughout, but at least the show does him some justice — letting him maturely let go of his feelings for In Ah and get proper closure. Quietly, it’s one of the most emotionally complete endings in the drama.

3. Joo In Ah Reaching the Top — On Her Own Terms

After becoming a sort of scapegoat during the fierce political war at Haemu, In Ah stays uncompromising on her principles even when her personal life gets exposed. That is why it feels so fulfilling when she finally succeeds as a new executive at the company.

Having her partner by her side seems to push her to go even harder at work, which is always a breath of fresh air. Joo In Ah has proven that she can have it all, and will be remembered as a strong, independent, and capable female lead. She didn’t choose between love and ambition. She chose both. soompi

4. In Ah and Ki Jun’s Real, Imperfect, Beautiful Ending

Since In Ah and Ki Jun’s romance started very unconventionally, it is only fitting that their ending doesn’t fall into the typical “they lived happily ever after” scene. Although it seems their perspectives clash, they find common ground — In Ah protecting her independence and Ki Jun reassuring his presence in her life — both joining their hearts as one. soompi

No grand wedding. No dramatic declaration. Just two real people choosing each other quietly, in the middle of ordinary life. For a drama that never played by the rules, that ending was exactly right.
