Ferrari have unveiled their new car ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season, named the SF-24 after the team initials and the year. It will be the last time Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz drive together as teammates, with the groundbreaking news that Lewis Hamilton would be joining in 2025 revealed recently.

The SF-24 is expected to be a major upgrade over the cars produced by the Italian side in the last two seasons. Things have gone wrong several times for Leclerc on the track, with the car giving out and preventing him from challenging Max Verstappen for the World title.

The new car is expected to be more forgiving on the driver and is set to help the drivers perform at their best this season. This is also the first new car to be made under team boss Fred Vaseur, who is aiming for all the success in the upcoming season.

“I expect the car to be a step forward in several areas and from the impression I formed in the simulator, I think we’re where we want to be,” Leclerc said after an online reveal and physical launch at the Fiorano test track.

“This season the aim is to be front-runners all the time and I want to give our fans plenty to cheer about.”

“I have seen a completely different look, both on the shapes but also on the design and it excites me. I just cannot wait to drive it,” said Carlos Sainz. Even though the Spaniard will be racing in his final season with Ferrari, he aims to go out on a high and give it his all.
