Barcelona and Manchester City striker Ferran Torres are said to have struck an agreement on a January transfer, but the two clubs must yet finalize the transaction. Barcelona has made Ferran Torres their primary goal for the forthcoming January transfer window and has already reached an agreement with the Manchester City attacker.
About the Manchester City forward
Torres, a product of Valencia’s youth system, made nearly 100 professional games for Los Che before to England in the summer of 2022. Even though he has had to split regular game time with Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Riyad Mahrez since joining the Cityzens, the 21-year-old has made a strong impression.
Torres has made 43 appearances for the Premier League winners, scoring 16 goals and assisting on four others. The winger, who is now sidelined with a foot fracture sustained while on international duty with Spain last month, has been on Barcelona’s radar for some time.
Xavi Hernandez, the Catalans’ manager, has made it known several times that he is looking for attacking reinforcements, given the club’s lack of depth in the final third. Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele, Martin Braithwaite, and Sergio Aguero have all been injured for significant periods of the season.

In the case of the latter, he may never play football again after being diagnosed with a cardiac issue. Memphis Depay has been left to do all of the heavy liftings in attack on his own, which has resulted in a drop in his form. Barcelona had been considering several possibilities to boost their frontline, with Raheem Sterling of Manchester City being mentioned as a priority target.
The Blaugrana, on the other hand, appears to have been after Sterling’s teammate, Torres, all along. According to the story, the 21-year-agent old’s visited Barcelona’s offices on Tuesday to explore a transfer, after which Mateu Alemany, the club’s sporting director, flew to Manchester to meet with City fans.
Torres, who is keen on a move to Camp Nou, has a whole agreement in place with Barcelona, according to the report. Any trade, though, would be contingent on Manchester City’s demands for its striker, given that the Catalans are not in the best of financial shape. Nonetheless, they are optimistic about completing a trade-in time for the January transfer window, as the player has given his approval.
