The player hung up his boots playing for Sagan Tosu, last playing in Europe for Atletico Madrid where he began his career. After an initial four years with the Rojiblancos, the striker moved to Liverpool and subsequently, the infamous transfer to Chelsea albeit winning the 2012 Champions League trophy with them.

Since retiring from professional football, El Nino has been involved with Atletico Madrid’s academy. He has been coaching the B team, and has also used this time to build up a sturdy physique. The striker was remembered in his prime as being a fast and lean striker, but his profile and his body shape has changed completely now.

Torres has accumulated a very noticeable amount of muscle, and will announce his next club on Friday. Fans are excited to know about his next move and will be waiting to hear all about it, as he has also promised an explanation.

Accumulating 110 caps for the Spanish national team, Torres has scored 38 times for La Roja. Although the return of the legend is fantastic news for his fans, it is unlikely that he will be back in any of Europe’s top clubs again.
