Splash Into the Future: Everything You Need to Know About Aquarabia, Saudi’s Largest Water Theme Park

Saudi Arabia’s newest crown jewel in leisure tourism isn’t a desert fortress or a gleaming skyscraper — it’s a water park. Aquarabia, the centerpiece attraction of Qiddiya City, has officially opened its gates as Saudi Arabia’s first and largest water theme park, and it’s already rewriting the rules of regional entertainment.

What Is Aquarabia?

Nestled inside Qiddiya City — roughly 40 minutes from Riyadh — Aquarabia is a sprawling water destination inspired by Saudi Arabia’s native landscapes and wildlife. It opened shortly after the blockbuster launch of Six Flags Qiddiya City, further cementing the area as a world-class entertainment hub.

The park spans 8 themed zones and packs in 22 rides and attractions, making it a full-day (and then some) experience for families, friend groups, and solo thrill-seekers alike.

Aquarabia Overview

8 Themed Zones Worth Exploring

Each zone has its own personality, visual identity, and vibe — meaning no two corners of the park feel the same:

• Camel Rock – Desert-inspired thrills
• Viper Canyon – High-speed slides
• Herding Grounds – Family-friendly fun
• Wave Wadi – Flowing river experiences
• Surf Lagoon – Surf and wave rides
• Dhub Grotto – A unique underground-themed zone
• The Den – Immersive adventure space
• Signature Underwater Adventure Ride – A record-setting one-of-a-kind attraction

From record-breaking water coasters to drop rides, wave pools, and interactive splash zones, there’s genuinely something for every kind of visitor.

More Than Just Rides

Aquarabia doesn’t just deliver adrenaline — it delivers comfort too. Premium guest amenities include:

• Shaded seating areas and private cabanas
• Multiple dining outlets
• Retail offerings for souvenirs and essentials
• Dedicated relaxation spaces

The park’s smart layout lets you toggle between high-energy zones and calmer pools without the chaos you’d expect at a park this size.

Part of a Bigger Saudi Experience

Aquarabia doesn’t exist in isolation. Visitors can pair their trip with a visit to Diriyah — a UNESCO World Heritage Site just outside Riyadh — home to the historic At-Turaif district. Culture, history, and world-class thrills, all within an hour’s drive of each other.

This broader ecosystem is central to Saudi’s Vision 2030 push to diversify tourism beyond oil and heritage alone.

Why It Matters for Travellers?

Saudi Arabia welcomed record international visitor numbers in 2025, and Aquarabia adds yet another compelling reason to book a trip. For travellers — especially from India — Saudi is fast becoming a viable, exciting, and affordable leisure destination that blends modern entertainment with deep cultural roots.
