Eros Now on Thursday had announced their new psychological-horror series “Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff” featuring actor Priyanshu Chatterjee. It was produced by Eros Now on January 28 as said by the streamer in the statement.
Plot
The show is about a gifted parapsychologist detective who can view things which the regular eyes cannot hold. The audiences can get a glimpse from the dark paranormal power torturing the fictional town of “Covid’s head”.
Chatterjee is best known for his role in the romantic drama movie ” Tum Bin” and said that he is excited to be a part of the show. He loves the horror genre very much.
Chatterjee said, “‘Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff’ is a bit different from what we have seen before as it mixes the elements of science with horror. I would love to know the audiences’ reactions to this series,”.
It’s set in the 1970s and tells the story of Harmesh and Soumili who will move into their dream home not knowing about the mysterious suicides beside the area and local police force.
Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff is directed and produced by Sam Bhattacharjee who earlier served as a visual effects supervisor on films like Baar Baar Dekho and Gold.
Cast
the series will feature Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sid Makkar, Nyra Banerjee, along with British actors Tony Richardson, George Dawson, Emma Galliano and others.
Talking about the series, the producer-director said,
“We are so excited to see the reaction to this series and have such high expectations for audiences who are looking to enjoy a particularly dark and chilling psychological horror.”
He adds, “We have a talented cast on screen and an equally talented team behind the production. I look forward to seeing Barun Rai contact the other world on Eros Now.”
