Tesla is making its cars even more premium with days and its recent announcement of equipping an infotainment system that is as powerful as a full-fledged PlayStation 5. Obviously, it will also be powered by AMD, as confirmed by the company at its Computex Keynote.

Elon Musk demos playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Tesla’s new infotainment system with AMD Navi 23 GPU

When the Model S Plaid model launched, Elon promised that the car’s new infotainment system could play Cyberpunk. Interestingly, this was even shown during a live demo, and Elon said that this system could deliver high framerates in modern games.

The built-in console has received a handsome upgrade in GPU horsepower, powered by the new AMD Navi 23 GPU. It offers up to 2048 Stream Processors and paired with up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory. However, Tesla has not yet disclosed the specs of the AMD hardware used inside of it.

The hardware inside of it can deliver as much as 10 TFLOPS of FP32 compute power with 1792 cores, drawing 100W TDP and for a car, this GPU would be a perfect fit.

However, Tesla also did not disclose whether it will use AMD Ryzen CPU or not, while the Tesla Model S Plaid will cost users a whopping 122,990 USD and the first 25 of them were delivered by Elon Musk himself at launch.
