eBikeGo, a subsidiary of EBG Group, has announced its intention to establish 50 integrated bicycle and electric bicycle stores across India over the next 12 months. This initiative marks the company’s entry into the organized retail and service sector for bicycle mobility in the country.
The new network aims to consolidate sales, rentals, servicing, spare parts, and fleet mobility solutions for both conventional and electric bicycles under a unified retail model. The objective is to enhance the accessibility of cycling-based transportation for various urban needs.

eBikeGo: Strategic Expansion and Investment
The rollout will commence with pilot launches in Coimbatore, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. These initial stores will serve to test and refine eBikeGo’s operational model before a broader expansion, which is planned to follow a metro-first, cluster-based strategy. The first 15 founding stores are expected to establish the initial footprint, building operational density and strengthening product availability and after-sales capabilities.
EBG Group plans to invest over ₹35 crore in the establishment of the 50-store network. This investment is projected to create more than 300 direct jobs and between 500 and 700 indirect employment opportunities. The company also anticipates more than 500,000 annual customer interactions and over 100,000 annual mobility transactions across its services once the network matures.

Addressing Evolving Market Needs
Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder & Chairman of EBG Group, highlighted the shifting perception of electric bicycles in India. “The perception of an electric bicycle in India is changing. It is no longer being viewed only as a fitness or leisure product,” Khan stated. “For an office commuter, student, or gig worker, the conversation is increasingly about cost per kilometre, convenience, reliability, and access to service. This is where an organised retail and service ecosystem becomes important. Our objective with eBikeGo’s official website (https://ebikego.com) Stores is to make electric and conventional bicycles more accessible while addressing the ownership experience beyond the point of sale.”
The integrated store model is designed to cater to a diverse clientele, including children, students, working professionals, fitness enthusiasts, families, gig workers, delivery partners, businesses, and institutional customers. Unlike conventional bicycle dealerships, eBikeGo Stores are envisioned as neighborhood mobility hubs.
Product Portfolio and Technological Integration
The stores will feature a portfolio of 250W electric-assist bicycles engineered for commuting, foldable urban mobility, gig-work applications, and premium recreational riding. This range includes models such as eBikeGo City, eBikeGo Flare, eBikeGo Flare Pro, eBikeGo Fold, eBikeGo Momentum, and eBikeGo Horizon. These bicycles are designed with features like assisted speeds up to 25 km/h, an estimated range of 35–55 km depending on the model and riding mode, removable batteries, and Shimano gearing on select models.
A common technology layer will connect the physical stores to `store.ebikego.com` for transactions and customer support. This digital integration aims to streamline customer interactions and service delivery.
