October 2025 EA FC26 POTM Nominees Overview

Why Bayern Munich Leads the Pack

Despite missing their star playmaker Jamal Musiala due to injury, Bayern still has plenty of talent in their ranks to dominate the league standings. The Bavarian giants’ trio represents different aspects of their tactical superiority.

Luis Díaz – Liverpool’s Loss, Bayern’s Gain

The winger signed from English Premier League champions Liverpool excelled in the 3-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt last month, scoring two goals, providing an assist, and earning the Man of the Match award. The Colombian international has seamlessly adapted to Bundesliga football and has started every competitive game this season.

Joshua Kimmich – The Undroppable Captain

Germany’s national team captain is undisputedly his team’s on-field metronome, contributing a goal against Gladbach and an assist versus Dortmund. His work rate speaks volumes—Kimmich had the second-most touches (352) and covered the second-longest distance (37.9 kilometers) in the league during October.

Michael Olise – The Creative Spark

The French winger’s importance to Vincent Kompany’s system has been particularly evident throughout October, making him an indispensable attacking weapon for the champions.

The Competition: Leipzig and Frankfurt Strike Back

While Bayern dominates numerically, Christoph Baumgartner and Jonathan Burkardt lead the way for goals scored with four, making a strong case for this month’s award.

Baumgartner’s Consistency: The attacking midfielder scored in all of his team’s October games—a 1-1 draw at Dortmund, the 2-1 win against Hamburg, and the impressive 6-0 victory in Augsburg. His clinical finishing could sway voters despite Bayern’s popularity advantage.

Burkardt’s Brace Bonanza: The 25-year-old netted back-to-back braces in the 2-2 draw in Freiburg and the 2-0 win against St. Pauli, being voted Man of the Match in both games. His efficiency is remarkable, needing just seven shots to convert four goals.
