EA FC 27 Holographic Cards Details: A Dazzling New Way to Flex Your Ultimate Team

Ultimate Team collectors, get ready for a serious visual upgrade. EA Sports has officially confirmed Holographic Cards are coming to EA FC 27, giving special player items a premium, eye-catching makeover that ties directly into the game’s new FUT Gallery progression system.

What Exactly Are EA FC 27 Holographic Cards?

These aren’t a new performance tier — they’re cosmetic reimaginings of existing special items like Team of the Week and promotional cards, featuring premium animations and enhanced visual presentation. Crucially, ratings, stats and attributes remain completely unchanged from the standard version, so this is purely about flair, not power.

Two Flavours: Regular and Pristine

How to Actually Get Them

Holographic Cards will be earnable through the same familiar channels: opening packs, buying on the Transfer Market, and earning through gameplay. They’ll also appear as milestone rewards within the newly announced FUT Gallery system, EA’s permanent collection tracker for Ultimate Team.

Why They Matter Beyond Looks

Since Holographic Cards are rarer than standard special items, submitting them to your FUT Gallery Sets is expected to award more collection points, helping players climb toward higher Set Grades and Gallery Levels for exclusive rewards. In other words, even a purely cosmetic card now carries genuine strategic value for dedicated collectors.
