Dutton Ranch Episode 7 Recap: Beulah’s Buried Secret Finally Comes for Her

The 10 Petal Ranch wanted a celebration. It got a confession, a betrayal, and a body hitting the floor instead. Dutton Ranch Season 1, Episode 7, “Den of Sin,” is the hour that finally explains why Beulah Jackson keeps everyone — including her own sons — at arm’s length.

The 1981 Flashback: Where It All Began

The episode opens in Fort Worth, 1981. A young Beulah is out dancing at a honky-tonk under the watch of ranch hand Mariano, Joaquin’s father. When Mariano gets distracted, Beulah is assaulted by a man named Luke. Months later, pregnant and desperate, she lures Luke to a party under the pretense of telling him he’ll be a father — then shoots him dead in cold blood while Mariano watches, helpless. That night quietly explains where Rob-Will came from, and why Mariano vanished from Joaquin’s life.

The Present: A Party That Goes Up in Flames

Back in the now, Beulah throws an extravagant 190th anniversary celebration for the 10 Petal Ranch, planning to publicly name Joaquin as her successor. Rob-Will crashes the party instead, threatening Joaquin’s life unless Beulah hands him control. Rattled, she caves — naming Rob-Will heir on the spot. Joaquin storms off, humiliated after a lifetime of loyalty. Moments later, overwhelmed by the chaos she created, Beulah collapses clutching her chest, leaving her fate — and the ranch’s future — hanging in the balance.
