Drishyam 3 Box Office: Mohanlal’s Crime Thriller Is Rs 3 Crore Away from a Historic Double Century — And It’s Just Day 9

If you thought the Drishyam franchise had peaked, think again. Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3, directed by Jeethu Joseph, is on a rampage at the worldwide box office — and the numbers are genuinely historic for Malayalam cinema. Here’s the full breakdown.

Drishyam 3 — Key Film Details

The Box Office Numbers — Day by Day

Drishyam 3 wrapped its extended opening week at Rs. 197 crore gross worldwide — with Rs. 142.25 crore coming from the opening weekend alone and the remainder from weekdays. Its domestic collection stands at Rs. 95.20 crore gross, with Kerala contributing around Rs. 62.70 crore and other Indian markets adding approximately Rs. 32.50 crore.

Historic Records Being Broken

Drishyam 3 recorded the second-biggest opening week of all time for a Malayalam film, both in Kerala and worldwide — trailing only Mohanlal’s own L2: Empuraan, which clocked Rs. 234.50 crore in its opening week. Yes, Mohanlal just became the benchmark for his own record.

The film is almost certain to cross Rs. 250 crore gross worldwide by the end of its theatrical run, and there is genuine curiosity around whether it can challenge Lokah Chapter One: Chandra‘s Rs. 300 crore lifetime total.
