Dogfight: Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Bring

If you grew up on fast-talking gangsters and sharp suits, this one’s for you. Netflix has announced Dogfight, a new revenge movie reuniting Jason Statham with director Guy Ritchie. It’s the kind of pairing that makes you reach for the popcorn before there’s even a trailer.

What Is Dogfight About?

Netflix calls it a stylish revenge action film set in London’s criminal underworld. Plot details are still under wraps, but you can guess the flavour: double-crosses, dry humour and Statham doing what he does best. Ritchie writes, directs and produces.

A Partnership Decades in the Making

Dogfight is the duo’s seventh film together, and their first made for Netflix. It all started with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Statham’s screen debut, followed by Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune. Their sixth, Viva La Madness, isn’t a Netflix title and is listed for 2028.

Viewers have already shown they like this duo on the platform. Wrath of Man racked up 8.3 million views across two weeks in the global Top 10 after landing on Netflix in December 2025.

Ritchie’s Growing Netflix Empire

Ritchie is already a Netflix regular through his crime series The Gentlemen. Season 2 arrived on September 3, 2026, and Season 3 is in production with Robert Carlyle, Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom joining. Add Dogfight, and Netflix is clearly betting big on his brand of stylish British crime.

When Can You Watch It?

Cameras don’t roll until early 2027, so don’t clear your calendar yet. Late 2027 would be the earliest realistic window, and 2028 looks more likely. Until then, keep an eye on our entertainment coverage and explore more Netflix and OTT updates for fresh release news.

Why It Matters?

Original Netflix movies can feel hit and miss, but a Statham-Ritchie team-up has a proven track record and a loyal fanbase. For crime-thriller fans, Dogfight looks like one of the safest bets on Netflix’s future slate. Want more on what’s coming? Browse the latest movie news on Techno Sports.
