Nvidia’s DLSS 4 rollout just hit its biggest week yet. Resident Evil Requiem launches February 27 with path tracing and Multi Frame Generation on day one, Crimson Desert gets DLSS 4 from its March 16 launch, and a wave of new game confirmations brings the total DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation library past 250 titles — with DLSS 4.5 now also available via the Nvidia app for all GeForce RTX owners.

Crimson Desert is also getting AMD FSR Redstone support simultaneously — one of the few high-profile games shipping with both upscaling technologies at launch.

DLSS 4.5: What’s New and Who Can Use It

Announced at CES 2026 in January and now available via the Nvidia app, DLSS 4.5 upgrades the Super Resolution model with a second-generation transformer — delivering better edge detail, fewer artefacts in motion, and improved temporal stability over DLSS 4’s original model. In a blind test across 6 games, DLSS 4.5 was rated superior to native resolution by Computerbase testers.

The 6× Dynamic Multi Frame Generation — which automatically adjusts the frame rate multiplier for smooth 240+ FPS at 4K with path tracing — arrives for RTX 50 Series GPUs in Spring 2026.

Resident Evil Requiem

Why Resident Evil Requiem Is the Biggest DLSS 4 Showcase Yet

Requiem is the most technically demanding Capcom PC game to date. It launches with PC-exclusive path-traced effects on top of DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction — the combination that turns a mid-range RTX card into something that can run the game at high settings with cinematic lighting quality. For RTX 40 Series owners without Multi Frame Generation, DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution still delivers a meaningful image quality upgrade over DLSS 3. Requiem will also be available on GeForce NOW from day one — Ultimate members get RTX 5080-class performance streamed with DLSS 4 across any device.

Crimson Desert’s DLSS 4 implementation is notable for a different reason: Pearl Abyss built its proprietary BlackSpace Engine with such strong native performance that Digital Foundry observed roughly 40–50fps at 4K native on an RX 9070 XT in an older pre-launch build. At that baseline, DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation could push the game past 120fps at 4K on mid-to-high-end RTX hardware — which is rare for an open-world RPG of this visual complexity.
