On 1st July DIZO made the official announcement of its first AIoT products in India, which included the DIZO Wireless and the DIZO GoPods D. These two are the audio wearable ranges. Now the company is teasing the launch of its upcoming product in India. This time it is not an AIoT product or any smartphone. It seems to be a feature phone and we already know the name of the phone.
The company took to Twitter to announce the tease the imminent launch of its upcoming product in India. The feature phone will have the name DIZO Star 500.
Now, we also have a better look at the new DIZO Star 500 as it was already been unboxed by a YouTuber. The device will come with a 2.8″ display with a 0.3MP rear camera with a flash. The DIZO Star 500 will also carry support for 5 local languages and will support two sim cards with 2G capabilities.
The DIZO Star 500 will also have an in-built FM Radio and music player and will come with a strip torch in addition to the rear flash. The device has a RAM of 32MB and has an internal storage of 32MB as well. However, the brand has given the user an option to extend the storage space up to 64GB with an SD card.
It weighs 108g and is 12mm in thickness. It has Bluetooth connectivity and comes with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Aesthetically the device appears to have a metallic matte finish on the rear, it sports the brand’s name across the device vertically. The rear camera gives it a different look from most entry-level devices in the market. It has a 1900mAh battery and has support for 1000 contacts and 200 messages at a time, without any SD card.
The box price of DIZO Star 500 is mentioned at Rs.1,999 but we expect that it will retail for Rs.1,799 in India.
