Across the company’s film, television, and theme park divisions, Disney’s upcoming D23 fan expo will provide a little something for everyone who believes themselves to be a fan of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars.
Disney’s D23 Event
With the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, which will take place on September 9, the D23 Expo will this year also feature a significant offering for gamers. Even if you can’t attend the fully booked D23 Expo in person, you can still watch it online.
The Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Disney Dreamlight Valley fresh designs and content reveals are all part of the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase. A preview of the “upcoming Marvel ensemble game” from Skydance New Media, the former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig’s studio, is also promised by Disney.
Skydance and Marvel first announced their new endeavor in October of last year, but little in the way of specifics have been made public. The firm is also working on a Star Wars game, but it’s doubtful that we’ll see it anytime soon.
About the Other Projects
Beyond those projects that have been officially announced, there is a long list of video games based on Disney properties, such as the Indiana Jones game from Bethesda Softworks, the Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine games from Insomniac Games, and new Star Wars games from Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, Respawn Entertainment, Aspyr, and Quantic Dream.
Although none of those games are confirmed to be present at the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, fans could likely learn more about initiatives that are nearing completion, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for the upcoming year. On Friday, September 9 at 1 p.m. PST, the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will stream on the D23 YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook channels.
