Two of India’s most celebrated sporting icons have a brand new reason to smile. On March 19, 2026, Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal announced the arrival of their third child — a baby girl named Raaha Pallikal Karthik. A Family Moment That Warmed Every Heart
Dinesh Karthik’s post captured everything beautifully — the gratitude, the joy, and the sheer excitement of little Kabir and Zian finally getting a baby sister. The couple named their daughter Raaha, a name that carries warmth and a sense of peace, fitting for a family that has given so much joy to Indian sports fans over the years.
The couple married in August 2015 in a unique dual ceremony — one Hindu and one Christian — a beautiful reflection of their different backgrounds coming together. Their twin boys Kabir and Zian arrived in October 2021, and now with Raaha completing the trio, the Karthik-Pallikal household just got a whole lot fuller and louder!
India’s Most Celebrated Sporting Couple
What makes this family so special is the sheer sporting legacy behind it. Dinesh Karthik — the explosive wicket-keeper batsman who played for teams like KKR, RCB, Mumbai Indians and countless others across his IPL career — retired from professional cricket in 2024. Today, he serves on RCB’s coaching staff while also lending his sharp cricket brain to commentary. He’s 40 and shows no sign of slowing down off the pitch!
On the other side, Dipika Pallikal is a Padma Shri and Arjuna Award recipient who made history as the first Indian squash player to crack the world’s top 10. Two champions, one family — and now three little ones to carry that legacy forward.
