Ranveer Singh’s return as Hamza Ali hasn’t just broken records — it has completely redefined what advance booking looks like for a Bollywood film. Dhurandhar: The Revenge has registered approximately ₹125 crore nett in India pre-sales, making it more than double the previous Bollywood advance record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (₹56 crore). This isn’t just a new benchmark — it’s a new universe of expectation for Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge — Advance Booking Records

Film	Total Advance Booking
Dhurandhar: The Revenge	~₹125 crore nett (NEW RECORD)
Jawan	₹56 crore
Pathaan	₹54 crore
Animal	₹40 crore
Tiger 3	₹33 crore
Stree 2	₹32 crore
Gadar 2	₹30 crore
War	₹29.50 crore
Thugs of Hindostan	₹26.50 crore
Brahmastra	₹25 crore

Breaking Down the Numbers

The ₹125 crore figure includes the final paid preview collections of approximately ₹39 crore nett, with the remaining ₹86 crore generated purely from opening day and rest-of-weekend advance bookings. To put that in perspective — the weekend pre-sales alone (~₹50 crore nett) are roughly equivalent to the previous all-time advance booking record by any Bollywood film.

The opening day advance alone stands at approximately ₹73 crore nett — surging past the ₹31 crore single-day advance record previously set by Jawan.

The biggest driver? PVRINOX, which accounts for over ₹66 crore nett of the weekend advances — more than half the total. The two major national chains together make up nearly two-thirds of all pre-sales. The film is performing at a stratospheric level in premium urban multiplexes across India, confirming its core identity as a prestige urban blockbuster.

It’s worth noting there is some ambiguity in the final figure — preview cancellations in South Indian languages led to refunds, and different cut-off points yield slightly different totals (ranging between ₹105–125 crore). Regardless, the film has obliterated every previous benchmark with room to spare.

Ranveer Singh is one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars, known for his commitment to roles and his ability to carry large-scale franchise films. With Dhurandhar already registering the biggest preview collections and now the biggest advance of all time, it is firmly on track to become Bollywood’s highest-grossing film ever.
