The overseas box office is already shaking — and the film doesn’t hit theatres until March 19. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has stormed into pre-sales territory that no Bollywood film has seen before, shattering benchmarks set by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan and eyeing Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal premiere record in its crosshairs.

| Previous US Record | Dhurandhar 1 — USD 13 million (highest-grossing Bollywood film in USA ever) |
The Numbers That Are Breaking Bollywood’s Overseas Brain
The strongest response is coming from the United States, where Dhurandhar: The Revenge has raked in nearly USD 600K in pre-sales for the opening weekend alone — with more than USD 250K for Wednesday previews and another USD 100K for Thursday.
The context makes this even more staggering. The previous best for a Bollywood film at the same stage before release was Jawan — which had around USD 300K in pre-sales. That puts Dhurandhar: The Revenge at nearly double the earlier record.
The film has accumulated pre-sales worth $238.5K for premiere shows alone in the US, registering an 84% surge in just 24 hours, with over 14,000 tickets sold across 744 shows at 472 locations.
Australia is equally on fire. In Australia, the film had AUD 100K in opening weekend sales at the end of the previous day — around 40–50% higher than both Pathaan and Jawan at the same stage — with a record-breaking AUD 3 million weekend now firmly in the crosshairs.
Solo Release Adds Rocket Fuel 🚀
The biggest news? Toxic — Yash and Kiara Advani’s pan-India biggie — has officially postponed its March 19 release. Following the postponement of Toxic, Dhurandhar: The Revenge witnessed a 93% jump in advance booking in just 24 hours Wikipedia, with show counts exploding across all territories.
The original Dhurandhar made ₹838.32 Cr Net in India and ₹1,305 Cr globally — and the sequel’s pre-release momentum already signals it could surpass those numbers. A solo release on Eid 2026 weekend, a 3 hr 55 min runtime that signals unmissable scale, and a fanbase that’s been waiting over a year — this is shaping up to be Bollywood’s biggest event film since the original. 💥
