Deool Band 2 Box Office: Marathi Cinema’s Unstoppable Blockbuster Eyes ₹100 Crore Milestone

Pravin Tarde’s devotional drama Deool Band 2 is quietly rewriting the rules for Marathi cinema — and honestly, it deserves every rupee it’s earning. In a film landscape where sequels often disappoint, this one has managed to keep audiences walking back into theatres well into its third week. That says something real.

On its 3rd Tuesday, the film added an estimated ₹1.25 crore, crossing the ₹75 crore gross mark at the Indian box office. At this pace, the third week is expected to wrap up around ₹13.50 crore, pushing the total to approximately ₹78 crore.

Why This Number Matters

Currently ranked 4th among the biggest Marathi grossers of all time, Deool Band 2 is closing in on Raja Shivaji (Marathi) — likely overtaking it by the fourth weekend. From there, only Baipan Bhari Deva and Sairat stand ahead. Trade analysts project a final lifetime collection in the ₹95–100 crore range, which would cement it firmly among Marathi cinema’s all-time elite.

Starring Mohan Joshi, Snehal Tarde, Pravin Tarde, and Mahesh Manjrekar, the film has emerged as a genuine blockbuster driven by strong word-of-mouth and cultural resonance. It’s not just a commercial success — it’s proof that regional language cinema in India carries immense storytelling power and audience loyalty.
