Dell XPS 17 9700 with up to Core i9-10885H & RTX 2060 GPU starts at $1,499

Dell’s most premium offering in its entire laptop lineup is obviously the Dell XPS 17 which is crammed with a bunch of specs and solid hardware. Even though being such slim and stylish, it comes with up to Intel Core i9-10885H processor as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.

The biggest highlight you will notice will be the display, as it features a 4-sided InfinityEdge 17-inch display that not only makes the Dell XPS 17 9700 the smallest 17-inch laptop but also smaller than many other 15.6-inch laptops as well. There are two kinds of display you can opt for:

Dell XPS 17 9700 with up to Core i9-10885H & RTX 2060 GPU starts at $1,499
  • 17-inch FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200) InfinityEdge display; 500-nits, 100% sRGB minimum, 1650:1 contrast ratio, anti-glare
  • 17-inch 4K UHD+ (3,840 x 2,400) InfinityEdge touch display; HDR 400, 500-nit, 100% Adobe RGB minimum + 94% DCI-P3 typical, 1600:1 contrast ratio, anti-reflective, anti-smudge

This makes the laptop a stunner and along with the Dolby Vision feature, the laptop is rightfully ones of the best when it comes to display.

The whole Dell XPS 17 9700 laptop series feature the latest Intel Comet Lake-H processors, from quad-core Core i5-10300H to octa-core Core i9-10885H. This comes coupled with up to 64 GB DDR4 2933 MHz dual-channel RAM along with up to 2 TB PCIe 3 x4 SSD storage.

You can either go with the Intel integrated graphics or choose between the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU or the RTX 2060. To keep the hardware running, Dell has upgraded the thermals, now with an integrated advanced cooling system.

According to Dell, “the uniquely designed” dual opposite outlet fans increases the fan airflow by around 30% compared to previous XPS laptops. These fans drive cooling airflow in both of the opposite directions resulting in more overall airflow and improved outer temperatures.

The Dell XPS 17 9700 also features a massive vapour chamber cooling system that spans the entire width of the laptop. For security, the laptop comes with a fingerprint scanner as well as an infrared camera for Windows Hello facial recognition.
