Dead-End Job on Netflix: Lee Jae Wook Takes a Part-Time Gig That Pays 50x the Wage and Turns Into Horror

Imagine a part-time job that pays 50 times the usual hourly wage. Now imagine why it pays that much. That’s the hook of Dead-End Job, Netflix’s upcoming Korean series, which just released new character posters and stills.

Dead-End Job: Plot

Hyeok Jun (Lee Jae Wook) is buried in debt and desperate for money. He finds the mysterious Spider Staffing Agency, which offers jobs starting at 50 times the minimum hourly wage. At the job site, he gets a bad feeling, and his character poster, with blood trickling down his face, hints at the life-threatening danger ahead. The drama is described as a mystery-horror fantasy about a hellish workplace with horrors he never imagined.

The Characters

• Hyeok Jun (Lee Jae Wook): A man drowning in debt who takes the job out of desperation.
• Yeon Ju (Go Min Si): She approaches Hyeok Jun while investigating the suspicious agency.
• Ji Yun (Kim Min Ha): Hyeok Jun’s younger sister, seen visiting the agency with a fierce, determined look instead of fear.
• The agency head (Lee Hee Joon): A mysterious figure shown studying a ledger, as if preparing to hand someone a new job.

Why It’s Worth Watching?

The premise taps into a very relatable fear: money problems pushing you into a deal that is too good to be true. A sister who walks straight into the agency and an investigator already on the case add tension beyond a lone-hero horror story. The posters also suggest a stylish, ominous tone.

Before It Premieres

Fans can watch Lee Jae Wook in Last Summer and Lee Hee Joon in The Scarecrow on Viki while they wait for October 30.
