Darwin Nunez medical assessment scheduled for Liverpool move until 2028

Darwin Nunez is on his way to Liverpool in the coming days. The player is right now in Spain, and will be in Liverpool in the coming days to complete his medical ahead of the transfer.

The deal was completed between the two clubs yesterday in Portugal. Liverpool are paying Benfica €80 million up-front and €20 million in add-ons, taking the total fee to €100 million for the striker.

Darwin Nunez to complete transfer formalities very soon

The Uruguayan has agreed a contract until 2028 with the Merseyside club. He is expected to be a big part of the future of the club. This is especially true given that Sadio Mane will be leaving the club this summer.

The Senegalese has announced his desire to move on from Jurgen Klopp’s team, and is in talks over a move to Bayern Munich. The German giants have yet to reach an agreement with the Premier League club over a transfer fee, but are in constant talks for the winger.

Liverpool have also had to let go of Divock Origi, and require more impact from the bench. This is something that an up-and-coming talent like Darwin Nunez could provide the team as he looks to earn a spot in the starting line-up.

The 22-year-old will be one of the most expensive signings in the history of the Reds when the move is made official. As a result, a lot is expected from the ambitious transfer in the coming season.
