The Story: Daredevil vs. Mayor Fisk — Round Two
Season 2’s official synopsis reads: Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home — Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.
The season is set six months after the events of Season 1, with Matt Murdock donning his iconic black suit and gathering allies to resist Wilson Fisk, who has now become the mayor of New York City and created an Anti-Vigilante Task Force to hunt him down.
The Cast — Old Faces, Huge Returns
Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock/Daredevil alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, and Matthew Lillard as the mysterious new antagonist, Mr. Charles.
But the biggest news? Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones — a former vigilante suffering from PTSD who runs her own detective agency and becomes Murdock’s resistance ally, bringing superhuman strength and a razor-sharp edge to the season.
With both Daredevil and Jessica Jones now confirmed, rumours of Danny Rand/Iron Fist and Luke Cage joining the MCU through Born Again Season 2 or Season 3 are growing louder — making a full Defenders reunion feel increasingly inevitable. Wb
