Cristiano Ronaldo to confirm his future with Erik Ten Hag at the end of 2021/22

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is up in the air as of right now. The 37-year-old has single-handedly dragged the side to competition for European spots, and has been linked with an exit since Champions League football is now out of their reach.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has a contract with the club until June 2023, and intends to stay at the club for at least another season. But, the decision surrounding his future will be made alongside the new manager, Erik Ten Hag, when he arrives at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo to decide his future later

As of right now, Ronaldo is focused on finishing the season strong with Manchester United so that they can qualify for the Europa League at the very least. He is Manchester United’s top scorer across all competitions and has been praised strongly by Ralf Rangnick.

With 24 goals in 37 games in all competitions this season, Ralf Rangnick has questioned why there wouldn’t be a place for the forward next season. Recently, Real Madrid were linked with a sensational return for their top goalscorer of all-time.

And if Cristiano Ronaldo can not reach an agreement with Ten Hag about his role in the team, he might end up leaving. But regardless of whether or not he stays, United will be investing in a new striker this season since they need to replace Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.
