Cristiano Ronaldo makes his return from COVID-19 in the best way possible

Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return to football in the most CR7 way possible against Spezia in Serie A. The Portuguese came on from the bench for Paulo Dybala, and it took him only three minutes to find the back of the net.

Assisted by an in-form Alvaro Morata, who managed to pick Ronaldo out in the box, the keeper was completely beaten by Ronaldo and he put Juve in the lead right around the hour mark.

The second goal scored by Ronaldo was from the penalty spot after a brilliant turn by Chiesa was cut short by Bartolomei. There was little to debate about the decision as the ref pointed right to the spot.

Cristiano scored a confident penalty to seal the match for the visitors and pushed the reigning Serie A Champions into the top four.

It would’ve been a crazy story if he managed to score a hat-trick in his return from COVID, but knowing the extent of Ronaldo’s thirst for glory, you can bet it was on his mind.

While it hasn’t been the start that Juventus were hoping for in the Serie A, they are still unbeaten in the league. Their 2-0 defeat to Barcelona at home is still the only blemish in Andrea Pirlo’s managerial record, as the Binaconeri have drawn on various occasions.

Although 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the Serie A scoring charts with 7 goals in 6 games, Cristiano Ronaldo is close behind with 5 goals in the league.

The man has proved his critics wrong every single time he has been about to be written off from the narrative. The fact that he is 35 makes no difference to the impact that the sensational forward makes on the pitch every time he plays.

Juventus will he hoping to snatch back their top spot in the league from Milan, as they face Lazio away from home next.
