Cricket Stadium Sound in Your Living Room? Lifelong ROAR Is India’s First Karaoke Projector — and It’s Just ₹7,999

Lifelong Electronics has launched ROAR, claiming the title of India’s first surround-sound and karaoke projector — with 20W speakers, dual wireless mics, and OTT built-in, all under ₹8,000.

What makes ROAR different from every other budget projector?

Most projectors under ₹10,000 treat audio as an afterthought — a 3W or 5W speaker that gets drowned out the moment someone opens a packet of chips. Lifelong has taken a different approach with ROAR. The 20W high-bass speakers are not a spec-sheet boast; they are the product’s central identity.

Add dual wireless microphones with voice modulation, a built-in “Live Commentary” mode tailored for cricket season, and the ability to function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker — and ROAR is less a projector with audio than a home entertainment hub that also projects. For context on how home cinema technology has evolved from dedicated theatre rooms to affordable, all-in-one devices, ROAR represents a significant step in democratising that experience for Indian households.

The karaoke angle — and why it matters

Karaoke projectors exist globally, but this is a first for the Indian market at this price point. The dual wireless mics with multiple voice modulation effects turn a movie night into a full-blown party setup — no separate speaker system, no tangled cables, no extra purchase needed. The “Live Commentary” feature, timed perfectly for IPL season, lets cricket fans do their best Harsha Bhogle impressions while watching a match on a 150-inch screen.

It is a genuinely clever product insight: Indian consumers do not just want to watch content, they want to participate in it.

“With Lifelong ROAR, we’ve reimagined the projector and upgraded the home cinema into a complete sensory experience — capturing the heart-pounding energy of a cricket stadium, the depth of a movie theatre and the magic of a live concert.” — Ashish Bothra, Category Head – Electronics, Lifelong
