Cricket Meets Coffee: BRU Joins Texas Super Kings as Official Partner for MLC 2026

Two things that unite millions of South Asians — cricket and a hot cup of coffee — are coming together in the most fitting way possible. The Texas Super Kings (TSK) have officially announced BRU as their Official Coffee Partner and Leading Trouser Sponsor for the 2026 Major League Cricket season. And honestly, it’s a partnership that just makes sense.

BRU Partnership Overview

What This Partnership Means?

The deal gives BRU prime broadcast visibility via the Leading Trouser sponsorship — meaning every time a TSK player steps onto the field, BRU’s branding travels with them across stadium screens and global broadcast feeds. Beyond the jersey real estate, the partnership also unlocks player access, digital content, and storytelling-led campaigns designed to deepen fan engagement through the season.

For BRU — a brand that’s been a staple in Indian kitchens since 1968 — this is a calculated move into the North American market. Cricket in the US is growing fast, and the South Asian diaspora represents exactly the audience that grew up with BRU on the breakfast table. It’s nostalgia and expansion strategy rolled into one.

Why BRU and Cricket Is a Natural Fit?

Think about it — cricket matches are long, atmospheric, and deeply communal. Coffee fits right in. BRU has built its identity around those warm, everyday shared moments, and a live cricket experience is packed with exactly that energy.

Partha Guha, General Manager at Unilever International, North America, captured it well: the partnership brings together two passions that unite millions, blending the warmth of coffee with the excitement of cricket in the United States.

KS Viswanathan, Director of Texas Super Kings, added that this is about building a bridge between nostalgia and new audiences — a sentiment that resonates deeply given how strongly cricket and Indian coffee culture are intertwined for the diaspora.

Major League Cricket has been steadily establishing itself as the home of professional T20 cricket in the US, and deals like this signal that brands are taking the league — and its audience — seriously.
