I have recently built a Gaming PC as I always wanted to have the experience of playing games in a seamless fashion. So I was in search of a gaming keyboard that didn’t cut my pocket but would give me a good gaming experience.
I found the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard on Amazon, and from the first look itself, it seemed quite convincing. I was lucky enough to get the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard for just Rs 3,299 due to an ongoing offer. Usually, the keyboard comes around Rs 3,700.
You may think that you can get a mechanical keyboard in this price range from other companies, but the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is a premium membrane keyboard with a premium build quality and design and gives the feel of a mechanical keyboard to some extent. The low-priced mechanical keyboards aren’t very good in the long terms, and many times, the keys come out, so you should definitely buy the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard instead of those budget mechanical keyboards. And, in case if you can spend around Rs 5,000-6,000, you can then go for the ASUS TUF K3 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.
After using the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard for the last few months, I am here to give you a all full review of the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard and hope that when you reach the end of the article, you will get your answer as to why I called it as one of the best gaming keyboards in the market.

The Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is pretty quiet, and the responsive keys provide a satisfying feel. The keyboard comes with a detachable soft rubber wrist rest to ensure additional comfort during marathon gaming sessions. The build and quality of the wrist rest are excellent, and you won’t find it slippery even after your hands sweat after long hours of work.
Overall, there’s almost nothing you can complain about the design and build quality of the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard. I am totally loving the experience.
Typing
Now coming to the experience which you get while typing with the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard. As you already know, I have to do a lot of typing every day, as I am doing right now to write this article. This was one of my main concerns while buying the keyboard.
After using it for quite some time, the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard hasn’t disappointed me a bit. The quiet and responsive keys of the keyboard give a satisfying feel, almost like a mechanical keyboard.
And the most important thing is that the multi-key anti-ghosting feature ensures the most accurate simultaneous key presses. So you don’t need to worry about the typing errors and write your heart out in the full flow.
Gaming
Apart from being a regular writer, I do love to play games in my pass time. As you already know, I built my gaming PC for this sole purpose. The Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is very efficient while typing, and it won’t let you down while gaming as well.
The 6 programmable macro keys enable powerful actions, key remaps and combos which are very helpful during games. The keys are indeed very light and easy to press, and the keys snapped back quickly, which does help while gaming.
So, the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is definitely one of the best membrane gaming keyboards in the market.
Software
The Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard features a three-zone dynamic RGB backlighting with 10+ preconfigured vivid RGB lighting modes that allow you to choose immersive lighting effects. It also has 6 programmable macro keys that enable powerful actions, key remaps and combos.
So in order to customise your keyboard, you need to download the Corsair iCUE software. Once you’ve installed the software, you’re ready to go.
You can customise the RGB lighting as per your choice and can adjust the brightness, and even turn it off as per your mood. You can also customise the 6 gaming keys from here. Through this software, you can even remap the keys. So this software allows you to do almost everything you wish for.

Verdict
If you are looking for a gaming keyboard for under Rs 4,000 but don’t want to compromise on the quality, then the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is the best one for you. Despite being a membrane keyboard, it gives you almost an experience of a mechanical keyboard.
If you can spend around Rs 6,000, you can buy a mechanical keyboard, but instead of purchasing a low-cost mechanical keyboard, the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard is the better choice. You won’t regret buying it even once.
