On its Weibo account, Corsair (through Harukaze5719) has published a statement regarding a printing error on the packaging of some items in the Chinese market. The company then launched an inquiry and subsequently recalled the recalled products from several Chinese retailers.

The issue arose when Chinese buyers who purchased Corsair items realized that the package listed the wrong country of manufacture. After receiving many customer complaints, Corsair launched an inquiry into the subject, which determined all of them to be factual. We haven’t confirmed Harukaze5719’s theory that the package says “Made in Taiwan” rather than “Made in China.”

Since numerous Corsair products, such as keyboards, headsets, and cases, are still available on major Chinese online shops, it’s unclear which products are affected.

Corsair has apologized to its Chinese customers and has removed all affected devices from store shelves to address the problem.

Corsair’s original comment is below, with a machine translation:

Recently, some complainants reported that the packaging and printers of Corsair products had made printing errors in the country of production and production area. After the company’s timely investigation, the printing problems reported by consumers are all true. For this incident caused by the negligence of product description review, our company is deeply sorry and hereby expresses our sincere apologies to most consumers. We have already taken it off the shelves and ordered relevant personnel to check all existing related products and deal with them immediately. There will never be any situation that is inconsistent with the objective facts.

As a result, I apologize again for the misunderstanding and inconvenience caused by the majority of loyal consumers, and once again sincerely appreciate the supervision and support of Henna from all walks of life.
