Looking to unlock the Buried City Town Hall in Arc Raiders? The Building a Library quest from Apollo might seem simple at first, but this retrieval mission packs some serious challenges. Here’s everything you need to conquer this quest and claim your rewards.

Arc Raiders Quest Overview

Quest Details	Information
Quest Giver	Apollo
Location	Library, City Center (Buried City)
Prerequisites	Complete Lance’s Tea Party quest
Difficulty	Medium
Rewards	1x Buried City Town Hall Key, 20,000 XP
Required Items	3 Books (Romance, Detective, Adventure)

Essential Preparation Before You Start

Before heading to the Library, gear up properly. Equip the Looting MK.2 to access two Safe Pockets—you’ll need them to store the books safely. Pack heavy firepower like the Ferro weapon, as you’ll face aggressive Arc units including Hornets and Fireballs. Don’t forget healing supplies and ammunition.

The Library sits on the northern edge of Buried City, near the Hospital and Parking Garage. This hotspot attracts both AI enemies and human players competing for loot, so stay alert.

Finding All Three Books

Ground Floor – Romance Book Enter through the main ground-floor entrance and walk straight ahead. You’ll spot a bright yellow bookshelf—interact with it to grab the Romance book. This is the easiest pickup of the three.

Upper Floor – Detective & Adventure Books Climb the stairs to the second level, but watch out for Fireballs lurking around. Near the wall, you’ll find another yellow bookshelf containing the Detective book. For the final Adventure book, head to the far end near the staircase—the last bookshelf awaits you there.

Remember: you must collect all three books in one round to complete the quest successfully.

Safe Extraction to Complete the Quest

Once you’ve secured all three books, don’t head straight back to base. Instead, locate the metro station approximately 70 meters from the Library building. Navigate carefully through the subway entrance—Fireball Arcs often guard this area.

Reach the underground platform, call the metro, and ride it back to Speranza to complete your mission. The Buried City Town Hall Key you’ll earn opens up new gameplay possibilities worth the effort.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I collect the books across multiple rounds?

No, the quest specifically requires you to gather all three books—Romance, Detective, and Adventure—in a single round. If you extract early or die, you’ll need to restart the collection process.

What happens if I lose the books before reaching Speranza?

Books stored in Safe Pockets (available with Looting MK.2) are protected even if you’re eliminated. However, if your inventory is full and you store them in regular slots, you’ll drop them upon death and must collect them again.
