Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been on fire since his start to life with the Azzurri. The youngster made the move from Dinamo Batumi this summer, and has scored eight goals, while providing 10 assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
His agent, Christian Emile, recently gave an interview with renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. And he revealed that his client was offered to several top European clubs alongside Napoli, all of whom rejected the chance to sign him.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent reveals big clubs rejected chance to sign him
“All those clubs you mentioned were interested in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, more so the clubs you heard in the media in Germany, England and Italy. This was true,” Emile said
“They were all interested in him. Eventually when his name came about and we started proposing him more and more, people consider quality. Clubs saw the quality.
“However, there’s a difference between understanding the quality and putting the money down. At that time, Rubin [Kazan] were asking [for] £20 million. Now everyone can say he’s worth much more than that, even at that time he had been playing senior football for three years.”
Emile also talked about the future price tag that Napoli would ask for if he were to join a bigger club.
“You know what’s crazy, he’s done what he’s been doing in Russia and Europe for the past couple of years,” Emile told Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel.
“He’s come to Napoli, he’s been brilliant, and people are talking about 100m euros.
“For me, if he continues to perform like this till the end of the season and next season, because there’s a zero per cent chance they sell him [in January]. He will reach 100m euros for sure.”
