However, this remains unconfirmed and an official update from the makers is still awaited.

Their Previous Collaboration — Iru Mugan

Vikram and Anand Shankar’s previous film, Iru Mugan, was a sci-fi action thriller that followed the story of an ex-RAW agent tracking down a scientist who created a hazardous adrenaline-boosting drug. With Nayanthara as the co-lead, Vikram appeared in dual roles as both protagonist and antagonist. The film also featured Nithya Menen, Nassar, and Thambi Ramaiah in key roles. It received positive reviews and was a hit at the box office.

That dual-role performance remains one of Vikram’s most celebrated recent outings — making the idea of a second collaboration with Shankar genuinely exciting for Tamil cinema fans

Vikram’s Shifting Next Projects

Earlier, Chiyaan Vikram had announced that his next project would be with debut director Bodi Rajkumar, confirmed by production company Shanti Talkies as an action thriller. But the reports of a reunion with Anand Shankar suggest the actor’s lineup may now be evolving.

Initially, Vikram had also announced a project with Maaveeran director Madonne Ashwin — however, that project is now believed to have been shelved.

Vikram’s Last Release

Chiyaan Vikram was last seen headlining Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, directed by SU Arun Kumar, which followed the story of a former mobster forced back into violence to protect his family during a tense single-night conflict. The film is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Known for his legendary physical and character transformations across films like Pithamagan (2003) and Dhruva Natchathiram, Vikram remains one of Tamil cinema’s most versatile and bankable stars.
