When photos of Charlie Puth goofing around with Jungkook — fidget spinners, bikes, and all — surfaced during BTS’s Los Angeles studio sessions, ARMY went into overdrive. Was he secretly a feature on ARIRANG? The answer, it turns out, is delightfully simple.

So What Actually Happened?
BTS were living together at a fancy location in Los Angeles for a couple of months while working on new music , and naturally, the who’s-who of the music world was circling the same studios. Charlie Puth happened to be one of them — recording his own album right next door.
When his name was conspicuously absent from ARIRANG’s released tracklist and producer credits, fans started asking questions. Some were even a little cheeky about it — one comment read: “Did they just bring him to the studio to entertain Jungkook?”
Charlie cleared it all up in a comment, saying he was recording in the other room and simply stopped by to say hello, adding that he genuinely loves spending time with the group.
It’s a very human, very normal thing — two sets of musicians sharing a studio complex and catching up between sessions. The internet just had other ideas.
Why Did Everyone Think Charlie Was on ARIRANG?
The speculation wasn’t baseless. Charlie Puth’s participation in the ‘What’s Your Love Song’ promotional campaign by BTS only further raised speculation that he would participate in ARIRANG. Add to that the Instagram moments — members J-Hope and V shared their moments with the singer on their respective Instagrams — and it was practically fan-fiction fuel.
His existing bond with Jungkook, rooted in their 2022 collaboration Left and Right, made it even more plausible. But sometimes a hangout is just a hangout.
