When will be the UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Round of 16 matches be played?

The first leg ties of the Round of 16 will take place on 14/15/21/22 February, while the second legs will be played on 7/8/14/15 March. The matches will kick off at 21:00 CET.

What are the rules for the UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Round of 16 draw?

The rules for the UCL 2022/23 Round of 16 draw:

  • Group winners will be drawn against runners-up.
  • No team can be drawn with the winner or runner-up from their group.
  • No team can face another team from the same country.

Another major change that has been implemented from last season is that the away goals rule does not stand anymore. If the aggregate score is tied after the 90 minutes of the second leg, the match will head into extra time, irrespective of the number of away goals scored by the teams.
