The last manager to win the Champions League with Barcelona, Luis Enrique, is now managing PSG and will return to Catalonia as the manager of the away team. This tie is famous for the Remontada of 2017, where Barcelona won 6-1 at home against all odds.

The two teams were at it once again in 2021, when PSG extracted revenge for their famous loss. They beat Barcelona 4-1 at the Camp Nou before drawing 1-1 at home to eliminate them in the Round of 16.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich obliterated Arsenal 10-2 on aggregate to send them into exile from the Champions League the last time the two teams met, which also happened to be in 2017. With the Gunners now back and stronger, the clash against Bayern will be their real test to see how far they’ve come under Mikel Arteta.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich will not have it easy, as they go up against one of the best teams in England to try and avoid a trophyless season.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid (The new yearly classic)

City had to beat the 14-time Champions League winners last season to win it for the first time. And only a year later, the two teams square off in the quarter finals. The fixture is becoming a yearly affair now, with the draw being made in 2020, 2022, 2023 and now, 2024.

Madrid beat City with a miraculous comeback in 2022 when they won their 14th title. In 2023, as well as 2020, City got the better of the Spanish giants, and Madrid now have a score to settle against the defending UCL winners.

Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

The only time the two teams have met before was in the group stage of the 2018 Champions League. Borussia Dortmund won 4-0 at home, while Atletico won 2-0 at home.

Both clubs have been a constant presence in the Champions League knockout rounds, and it will be interesting to see which team makes it through in a battle of the two underdogs.
