CD Projekt Red is Now Pretty Much Satisfied With The Cyberpunk 2077’s Stability and Performance

CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski has stated that Cyberpunk 2077 has reached a “satisfactory” level of performance and stability, and should now work on more fixes to specific in-game systems.

Kicinski talked about Cyberpunk 2077’s recent patches during speaking at WSE Innovation Day (via TVN24, and translated by IGN Poland) and he also evaluated the development team’s work:

“We have already reached a satisfactory level [of stability]. We have also worked on the overall performance, and we are quite satisfied with that. Of course, we have also fixed bugs and glitches, and we will continue to do so. Over time, we will be introducing fixes to the general systems that players [have pointed out as needing improvement].”

The game has received lots of patches and bug fixes since its launch but the community seems still disappointed with the progress made on the title. There are still uncountable issues that plague the game from poor AI to terrible car handling and an empty open world. Cyberpunk 2077 also has multiple problems related to game mechanics being broken like perks not working.

Kicinski didn’t go for much detail on what player-requested systems could get some fixes, but that might include stuff like APC AI, improved character customization, in-game police responses, or something like changing the character hairstyle.

Recently Sony has specifically informed players that there remain performance issues on base PS4 consoles after the game made a return to sale on the PlayStation Store. Also, it had promised that “fixes and updates” for the last-gen version would continue throughout the year.
