Camp Rock 3 Cast Confirmed: Jonas Brothers & Maria Canals-Barrera Lead Disney’s Highly Anticipated Return

After 15 years of waiting, Disney Channel fans can finally rejoice! “Camp Rock 3” is officially happening, and the nostalgia is about to hit harder than a Shane Gray guitar solo. With the Jonas Brothers returning to their iconic roles and beloved cast members like Maria Canals-Barrera confirmed to reprise her motherly role, this Disney Channel Original Movie promises to recapture the magic that made millions of fans fall in love with rock camp in the first place.

Camp Rock 3 Official Cast Confirmation and Filming Update

Disney Branded Television confirmed that “Camp Rock 3” has been greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel, with Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas returning to their iconic roles. The movie began filming this week in Vancouver, marking a dream come true for fans who never stopped believing in the power of rock.

The Jonas Brothers: Back in Their Element

In a new video, Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas slipped back into their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, respectively, while filming continues in Vancouver. The brothers aren’t just returning as actors—they’re also serving as executive producers alongside Demi Lovato, ensuring the project maintains the authentic Camp Rock spirit that defined the original films.

What This Means for Fans:

• Original chemistry between the Jonas Brothers on screen
• Behind-the-scenes creative control as executive producers
• Opportunity to showcase their musical evolution since the last film
• Nostalgic return to characters that launched their Disney careers

Maria Canals-Barrera’s Heartwarming Return

Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Mitchie’s mother, Connie, is confirmed to return as well. Her return brings emotional continuity to the franchise, especially important given the uncertainty surrounding other original cast members.

As the warm, supportive mother figure who encouraged Mitchie’s musical dreams, Canals-Barrera’s Connie Torres provided the emotional anchor of the original films. Her confirmed return suggests Camp Rock 3 will maintain the family-friendly, heartwarming elements that made the franchise beloved.

New Faces Joining Camp Rock Legacy

The third installment introduces fresh talent to carry the torch for a new generation:

New Cast Members:

• Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) as Sage – A “bold and determined” camper
• Malachi Barton (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as Fletch – The bad boy character
• Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) as cellist Rosie
• Hudson Stone as Desi – Sage’s brother

The Demi Lovato Question

Before the news was released, Demi Lovato hinted that we might see some new faces in the lead roles. It seems the star will not be reprising her role in the series. It’s unclear whether Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres, as she was not listed as a cast member or guest star in Disney’s announcement.

However, Demi Lovato will executive produce the Disney film, ensuring her creative vision remains part of the Camp Rock legacy even if she doesn’t appear on screen.
