The premiere buzz didn’t last long. KBS 2TV’s latest Thursday drama Cabbage Your Life has already recorded a ratings dip heading into its second week. Here’s what the numbers say — and why it still matters.

What Is Cabbage Your Life About?
Cabbage Your Life follows the chaotic story of Sung Tae Hoon’s family, played by Park Sung Woong, who suddenly end up living in the village of Yeonriri and struggle to return to their original home of Seoul.
Think city-meets-countryside chaos — the kind of fish-out-of-water comedic premise that K-drama fans genuinely love. The show airs on KBS 2TV every Thursday and carries a warm, family-driven tone that’s clearly designed to pull in a broad audience.
Should We Be Worried?
Honestly? Not yet. A second-episode dip is pretty common in K-drama land. Premieres often ride a wave of promotional hype, and it takes a few weeks for a show to settle into its actual audience base.
That said, staying at or below the 2% mark on a major public broadcaster like KBS is a soft warning sign. The competition on Thursday slots is fierce, and rural comedy dramas need strong word-of-mouth to build momentum week over week.
The real test? Episodes 3 and 4 — that’s when viewers either commit or quietly move on.
