Buy King Just Got Bigger: Choi Dae Hoon Joins Lee Jun Ho and Ju Ji Hoon in K-Drama’s Biggest Casting Coup Yet

Choi Dae Hoon, the actor who broke hearts as Mr. Hak in When Life Gives You Tangerines, is officially stepping into the world of Buy King. And he’s not walking in alone. The drama already has Lee Jun Ho and Ju Ji Hoon reportedly circling lead roles, which means this corporate thriller just became one of the most stacked productions of the year.

What’s Buy King Actually About?

Set inside one of South Korea’s wealthiest conglomerate families, Buy King follows a brutal succession battle — think shifting alliances, decades-old grudges, and a multi-billion won empire up for grabs. It’s the kind of high-stakes drama that lives or dies on its cast, and this one’s shaping up strong.

The Cast Lineup So Far

Choi’s agency confirmed the news directly, stating he’ll play Michael in the series — all while juggling shoots for his other drama, Unshakable Forties’ Romance. Fans already know he can handle emotional complexity (his Mr. Hak performance proved that), so expectations for his Buy King role are running high.

Why This Casting Matters

Lee Jun Ho and Ju Ji Hoon’s potential pairing had already made Buy King one of Korean drama‘s most talked-about upcoming projects. Adding a proven performer like Choi Dae Hoon into the mix doesn’t just fill a role — it raises the ceiling for the entire show.

With production already underway, Buy King is quickly climbing must-watch lists everywhere.
