“Buy King”: Choi Dae Hoon Confirmed As Chaebol Drama Cast Grows

Korea’s next big chaebol succession drama just locked in another name, and the cast is shaping up to be a genuinely stacked lineup.

Buy King: Choi Dae Hoon Joins The Cast

Choi Dae Hoon, known for “Agent Kim Reactivated,” has officially been confirmed for the upcoming drama “Buy King” (working title). His agency, ACE FACTORY, confirmed he’ll play Michael, a bodyguard-turned-chief secretary loyal to the chairman of BK Holdings. Notably, Choi Dae Hoon is filming this project simultaneously with another drama, “Unshakable Forties’ Romance.”

What “Buy King” Is About

The drama is set against the backdrop of a powerful Korean chaebol family, chronicling the breakups and power realignments within the conglomerate as its members wage a succession war worth tens of billions of won. It’s a premise that fits squarely into the corporate-drama genre Korean television has mastered, blending family betrayal with high-stakes business politics.

Choi Dae Hoon’s character Michael will reportedly serve directly under Han Ji Yeol — the role Lee Junho is currently in talks to play — suggesting a close, potentially complicated dynamic between the two characters at the center of the power struggle.
