A No. 1 Album — For the Third Time
On March 27, 2026, the UK’s Official Charts confirmed that ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 on the Official Albums Chart — making it BTS’s third UK chart-topping album and their 12th entry overall. The album also simultaneously claimed the top spot on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, a testament to just how devoted and passionate ARMY truly is worldwide.
Their previous UK No. 1 albums were Map of the Soul: Persona (2019) and Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) — so reaching this milestone again in 2026, post-military service, is nothing short of iconic.
SWIM Hits BTS’s Highest-Ever UK Singles Position
Title track SWIM debuted at No. 2 on the Official Singles Chart — their career-best singles ranking in the UK. To put that in perspective, here’s how it stacks up against their previous UK top 10 hits:
- Dynamite — No. 3
- Butter — No. 3
- My Universe (with Coldplay) — No. 3
- Life Goes On — No. 10
- SWIM — No. 2 ✅ (New Career High!)
That upward trajectory? Pure goosebumps.
Why This Milestone Matters
BTS completing their mandatory military service and returning with chart-topping music across multiple formats proves one thing: the love ARMY has for them never dimmed for a single day. ARIRANG, both the album title and lead single SWIM, signals a bold, mature new chapter for the group.
