Bridgerton Season 4: Meet Benedict’s Cinderella Story Cast This January

The ton is buzzing! Bridgerton Season 4 debuts January 29, 2026, on Netflix, shifting the spotlight to second-eldest sibling Benedict Bridgerton and his enchanting Cinderella-inspired romance. With returning favorites and exciting new faces, this season promises to deliver the drama, romance, and jaw-dropping fashion fans crave.

Bridgerton Season 4: Cast Overview

Benedict’s Leading Lady: Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek

Australian actress Yerin Ha (Halo, Dune: Prophecy) joins as Sophie Baek, a reimagined version of Julia Quinn’s Sophie Beckett. The character’s surname honors Ha’s Korean heritage—a powerful choice that showrunner Jess Brownell describes as significant to identity representation.

“A name is the first bit of identity that you share with the world,” Ha explained to Netflix’s Tudum.

Sophie lives as a maid to her wealthy stepmother and stepsisters when she encounters Benedict at Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball. Their instant connection sparks a season-long romance exploring class divisions, identity, and love that defies societal expectations.

The Wicked Stepfamily

Katie Leung (Harry Potter, The Peripheral) brings glamorous menace as twice-widowed Lady Araminta Gun, determined to marry off her daughters at any cost. Her social climbing ambitions create tension throughout the season.

Michelle Mao plays eldest daughter Rosamund Li—beautiful, vain, and laser-focused on securing Benedict as her prize. Meanwhile, Isabella Wei portrays younger sister Posy Li, whose kind heart and unfiltered honesty make her the sympathetic stepsister.

Beloved Characters Return

The Bridgerton family remains central, with Luke Thompson finally taking the romantic lead after three seasons of yearning glances from ballroom corners. Jonathan Bailey confirmed Anthony’s return, promising elder brother guidance as Benedict navigates his love story.

Hannah Dodd returns as Francesca, whose marriage to John Stirling (Victor Alli) and potential connection with cousin Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza) continues developing. Claudia Jessie‘s Eloise also features prominently as her storyline builds toward future seasons.

Matriarch Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) explores her own late-in-life romance with Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis), reminding viewers that love transcends age.

Who’s Missing?

Sadly, Regé-Jean Page (Simon Basset) and Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton) remain absent, though Dynevor has expressed openness to returning someday. Jessica Madsen‘s Cressida Cowper status is uncertain after her Season 3 exile to Wales.

According to Netflix’s official Bridgerton page, the series continues celebrating “all kinds of love” across different ages, classes, and orientations.

A Modern Cinderella Tale

Based on Quinn’s An Offer from a Gentleman, Season 4 adapts the classic Cinderella story with Bridgerton flair. Showrunner Brownell emphasizes Sophie isn’t a typical damsel: “She’s resourceful and resilient. She’s a chess player, she’s a survivalist.”

Benedict, conversely, brings lightness and playfulness—qualities Sophie struggles to embrace after years in survival mode. Their contrasting personalities create the season’s central tension.
