Bournemouth sign Jack Wilshere on short term deal

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has now been announced as a Bournemouth player until the end of the ongoing 20/21 season. The player rejoins Bournemouth after his contract was terminated by West Ham United at the end of last year.

Wilshere has been training with the Cherries for a while and is now an official player with the first team. Wilshere is no stranger to the Vitality Stadium, having spent the 16/17 campaign on loan at the club from Arsenal.

“It feels great to be back and I can’t wait to get started,” he told the club’s official website.

“From the minute I walked through the door three weeks ago, it felt natural and like I had never been away.”

“I’ve been impressed by the coaching staff, the way they work and the ambitions of the club to get back in the Premier League.”

“We all share the same ambitions and I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping achieve those.”

Bournemouth ended up getting relegated at the end of last season, and will be hoping to come back to the Premier League right away. The Cherries are currently third in the Championship behind Norwich and Swansea.
