Now you can use AMD Smart Memory Access feature on 400 series motherboards as well

0

AMD recently announced its new Smart Memory Access (SAM) feature on its latest 500 series motherboards i.e. B550 and X570. This feature, however, is exclusive to AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs when paired with new Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs as for now.

But, if you are a B450 or X470 motherboard owner, don’t be sad as AMD will be enabling the same feature that gives you extra performance at no extra cost. The AGESA v2 1.1.0.0 update has brought Smart Memory Access (SAM) to 400 series motherboards also but with new AMD CPUs and GPUs.

Although the update depends on the board partner, like ASUS and ASRock are the only ones that have enabled this feature. But, as this feature is not only exclusive to AMD and its Ryzen 5000 CPUs, in coming days you can expect the same to be enabled on Ryzen 3000 CPUs as well but with new RX 6000 series graphics cards.

AMD is also working to bring the feature with Intel CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs as well, NVIDIA is also working to make an AMD Smart Access Memory alternative as the feature requires only PCIe gen 3.0 and resizable BAR support.

OFFICIAL: SC East Bengal announce their captain and vice-captain

The wait is almost over for the East Bengal fans. SC East Bengal is going to start their ISL journey tonight. Interestingly they will face their oldest rivals and defending champion ATK Mohun Bagan FC to start their journey. It adds some extra flavour to the ice as well. East Bengal fans are already extremely excited to cheer their team.

SC East Bengal has already signed some of the extremely talented foreigners such as Danny Fox, Scot Neville, Anthony Pilkington, Aaron-Amadi Halloway, Matti Steinmann, Jacques Maghoma. Besides that, they have added some highly experienced and talented Indians into the squad. SC East Bengal boss Robbie Fowler has already cleared his idea of making a team who plays for their badge in the jersey more than playing for themselves.

Finally, today East Bengal has announced the names of their captain and the vice-captain. Former Wigan Athletic defender Danny Fox is named as the captain of the Red & Golds. Danny Fox said, “This is a big responsibility and I am ready for it. The Gaffer has shown his trust in me and I will not let him down.”

Anthony Pilkington, the English left-winger and former Wigan Athletic teammate of Danny Fox, is named as the vice-captain of the team. He said, “Being the vice-captain of SC East Bengal brings with it a lot of responsibility. This team has a lot of leaders and they are all pushing each other. We have one goal, and that is to do well in our maiden ISL season.”

‘Kolkata Derby’ is one of the oldest and greatest rivalries in Asia. ISL will have the taste of the excitement today for the very first time.

ISL 2020/21 MATCH PREVIEW – Who will come out on top in the Kolkata Derby?

The fiercest, combative and enthralling of all Indian, and perhaps, Asian football derby games, is the one between SC East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan. Both teams have stepped up to the Indian Super League and so will meet in a whole new battlefield tonight.

Former Indian national team star Baichung Bhutia talked up the derby prospects and was quoted as saying, “I would be excited to be live on the ground in Kolkata whenever the derby happens. I know the capacity (of the stadium) is 80,000 but there will be a lot of demand for tickets (when fans are allowed). The atmosphere is going to be crazy when the derby happens in Kolkata, so I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”

“The Kolkata derby in the ISL is going to be more passionate and fans of both sides will want to make sure their club defeats the other.” concluded Bhutia in what is certainly a summary of how competitive the match could get at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco tonight.

TEAM NEWS

SC East Bengal will be playing their first fixture in the ISL after their transfer from the I-League. New coach and former Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler has taken over the managerial reigns at the club and with some new signings, is expected to contend for the Playoffs spots. Jeje Lalpekhlua and Anthony Pilkington could provide the much-needed threat from the forward line and both are expected to start the game.

ATK Mohun Bagan meanwhile, enjoyed a winning start to their league campaign as they beat Kerala 1-0 courtesy of the sensational Roy Krishna. Habas’ men are expected to lineup in the similar 3-5-2 formation with no changes expected in terms of personnel.

TACTICAL MATCHUPS

Veteran Scottish centre-back Daniel Fox against the high-flying Roy Krishna will certainly interest the viewers in a mini battle of their own. The Fiji Islands captain will be a one-man army in terms of the attacking impetus he brings to the table and Fox will have to be on guard to stop the challenge.

At the other end of the pitch, an all Indian clash of Sandesh Jhinghan against Jeje Lalpekhlua will also be mouthwatering. The experienced West Bengal centre-forward will look to come up against the towering Jhinghan and get the better of him and help SCEB en route a winning note.

PREDICTED SCORELINE

ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 SC East Bengal ; The defending champions have just about enough firepower to go on and win the game against their fierce arch rivals.

I have been on the lookout for a Bluetooth headset with good battery life and sound quality. While searching, I stumbled upon the Soundcore Life Q10 by Anker available on Flipkart. I ordered it during Flipkart Big Billion Day sale and got it for only Rs 1,999.

Design and build quality

The Soundcore Life Q10 is an over the ear headphone. The build material doesn’t feel cheap, even if it isn’t premium. It is ergonomically designed to fit perfectly.

It features adjustable and foldable ear cups which makes it easier to fit as we can adjust the length of the arm as per the size of our heads. The ear cups are also well-cushioned, and the upper part is also cushioned to make it comfortable to wear.

The earcups fit perfectly over my ears and head, which gave me a comfortable experience while using the headphone. The only thing I disliked to some extent is that the headphone is on the heavy side so at first, you will feel a little discomfort but you will get used to it eventually.

Connectivity

The Soundcore Life Q10 has two types of connectivity, both AUX and Bluetooth. For me, which seems an absolute win cause when you’re in the middle of something and the battery runs out (although this seems to run forever on battery) it is very frustrating. So, after your Bluetooth battery runs out, you can easily keep your work flowing by connecting with the AUX cable.

For connecting with the AUX cable, there is a 3.5 mm jack on the right earcup. So you just need to plug in the AUX cable and you’re ready to use.

For connecting to Bluetooth, first, turn on the headphone by long-pressing the power button. A blue light will blink to indicate the headphone is turned on. Now, turn on the Bluetooth on your phone and you can find the device on the available Bluetooth devices list named ‘Soundcore Life Q10’.

From the second time, if the Bluetooth on your phone is turned on, whenever you turn on the headphone it will automatically connect to the last connected device.

So, on the connectivity options front, Soundcore Life Q10 has done a wonderful job by including both the AUX and Bluetooth modes. The Bluetooth model is almost perfect as there seems to be no lag, and even if there is some lag, you won’t be able to realise it during normal use. Suppose, when you’re listening to a video you can clearly see that the lips are well synced with the audio. I’ve also tried playing COD Mobile with this headphone on Bluetooth mode, and it was quite good and playable.

Meanwhile, on the AUX mode, you don’t have to worry about latency issues at all and is perfect, and you don’t even need to use this mode often as the battery runs very long (we’ll be coming to that part later).

Audio quality

This is the main part of any headset. The audio quality is one of the most important factors for judging the quality of a headphone. The Soundcore Life Q10 has one of the best audio quality in these price range under Rs 3,000. The highs and lows are both almost equally good.

The bass quality will also catch your eye. As it is an over the ear headphone, you can feel the bass more. There is also an option of increasing the bass by pressing the BassUp button on the right earcup which is dedicated to bass.

The over the ear design also helps in passive noise cancellation. The earcups fit perfectly on the ears, and you won’t feel any pain even after prolonged use. This is one of the best parts I like about this headphone as I can’t bear using headphones for too long, but I had no problems in using it.

The in-built mic is also good. The person on the other end won’t face any noise problem. Overall, the audio quality experience is mind-blowing for this price range.

IMG 20201126 141525 Soundcore Life Q10 by Anker review: The best buy under Rs 3,000

Battery backup

The Soundcore Life Q10 doesn’t have a battery capacity mentioned, but the company claims that it will give you a 60-hour playtime. I used it on 60-70% volume, and it went for over a week. I generally listen to this headphone for 4-5 hours a day, so it took me an eternity to drain the battery out. This is an absolute beast and would definitely solve your charging problem as you don’t have to worry.

The charging time is around 2 hours which is great considering its battery life. The company also claims that with a 5-minute charge, it can go on for 5 hours which is true to some extent. It went for 3-4 hours for me in real life. But once you charge it to 100%, you can keep aside the charger for the next few days or even a week.

It also features Type C charging, so you don’t need to carry the charger, you can charge it with your phone’s charger but make sure you don’t charge it with a high capacity fast charger.

IMG 20201126 140036 Bokeh Soundcore Life Q10 by Anker review: The best buy under Rs 3,000

Pros and cons

ProsCons
Good audio quality with BassUp featureCould have been slightly lightweight
Great battery life
The earcups fit perfectly
Type C charging
IMG 2020140130 Bokeh Soundcore Life Q10 by Anker review: The best buy under Rs 3,000

Verdict

Personally, I wanted a headphone with good audio quality and comfortable use along with battery life as I often forget to charge my devices. The Soundcore Life Q10 by Anker ticks all the right boxes for me.

If you’re looking to buy one under Rs 3,000, this is almost perfect. And you can be even luckier if you can find this during a sale and grab it under Rs 2,000 then it will be an absolute win situation.

Since his joining in January, Bruno Fernandes is making the headlines for every good reason with Manchester United. His performance is becoming better and better every day.

The Portuguese midfielder has contributed 21 goals and 13 assists in his first 35 games.

Bruno Fernandes is a very fearless midfielder. His quick thinking, quick passing helps Manchester United in quick transitions. Sometimes he makes a mistake while providing a visionary pass. But he never stops trying those things. This fearless attitude makes him different from other midfielders.

His former teammate and former Manchester United winger Louis Nani praised the Portuguese midfielder. He said to United Review, “A big part of this team is Bruno Fernandes. Bruno now is a much better player than when we were playing together.”

“He was doing great in Portugal but the Portuguese league is not the same as the Premier League.”

“I saw so much potential in Bruno and I told him to go to England if he decided to move to another league.”

“I said to him: “Your game will fit there and the fans will go crazy for you!”

“The style of his football is something fans appreciate. He is a player who likes to take risks in the game, who wants to take the responsibility of the game on his back and make difficult passes, dribbles, and shots.”

“He doesn’t care about mistakes; he only thinks about success and making the team have success. He knows what that takes. That’s Man United, isn’t it?”

“Bruno has done so well until now, scoring goals and setting up a lot of goals, but he will keep improving and making the team even better.”

Bruno Fernandes was again instrumental in the 4-1 victory against Istanbul in UCL this week. He scored 2 goals in that match. Former Manchester United legends like Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Patrice Evra, and many more have already praised Bruno for his performance to date. Now, Nani also joined the list of his admirers.

The new upcoming chipset is titled M1X, but the name isn’t final as of yet. The Apple M1X offers more cores and more performance than the benchmark-beating M1 chipset, and it will be a powerhouse compared with the previous chipset.

The M1X chipset will come with 12 CPU cores as compared to the eight cores that are found in the Apple M1 chipset. M1 chip, on the other hand, has its eight CPU cores divided into four performance cores (Firestorm) and four power-efficient cores (Icestorm).

Salesforce to buy Slack in the biggest business deal yet

0

San Francisco-based Salesforce is the world’s largest provider of customer relationship management (CRM) services. The company is in talks to buy Slack in a deal. Analysts claim that the deal is big enough to reshape the future of online business communications. Last year the company paid a sum of $15 billion to buy Seattle’s Tableau Software. But the deal to buy Slack even crosses the $15 billion mark.

Salesforce sells enterprise application software focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics, and application development. On the other hand, Slack offers an eponymous business communication platform with multiple IRC-style features, including persistent chat rooms (channels) organized by topic, private groups, and direct messaging.

According to sources, Slack had 2,431 employees worldwide at the end of July. Salesforce, on the other hand, has a total of over 49,000 employees. Slacks’ market value is estimated to be more than $20 billion, while Salesforce’s worth is a whopping sum of $230 billion.

Slack’s biggest competitor is Microsoft, whose own business communication software, Teams, has become one of the industry’s biggest names. Teams have around 115 million daily active users. On the other hand, Slack has more than 12 million daily active users and over 119,000 paid customers and is, without a doubt, one of the largest players in the sector.

Salesforce will be hosting its annual ‘Dreamforce’ conference next week, which will be virtual due to the on-going pandemic. But till now, neither Slack nor Salesforce has given any official statement regarding the deal. Many predict that the acquisition will be announced during the Dreamforce event. If not, we have to wait until next year to hear about the acquisition details finally.
