This smartphone has already appeared on various certification websites by which we can expect an imminent launch of this smartphone. It is likely to be three models in this Reno5 series: Reno5, Reno5 Pro, and Reno5 Pro Plus. Among them, the Reno5 Pro has now appeared on HDR10+ specification. From that listing, we’ve come to know that this phone will support the latest 5G connectivity. The Geekbench listing revealed that the Reno5 Pro 5G will run the ColorOS 11 which is based on the Android 11 OS and will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. The SoC is expected to be paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage.

Moto G9 Plus spotted on BIS Certification Site, might launch in India soon

Motorola has launched its Moto G9 Plus in Brazil back in September. But that time, the company has not confirmed anything regarding its Indian launch. But recently, the Moto G9 Plus has been spotted on the Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website (model numbers XT2083-7 and XT2087-3) and that particular listing is hinting that this smartphone is going to launch in India pretty soon (no exact date has been announced by Motorola). The other two smartphones of this G9 series, the Moto G9 smartphone has already been launched in India, and the Moto G9 Power is expected to launch in the second week of December.

Moto G9 Plus has a Full HD+ screen resolution and 4GB of RAM. The dimension of this phone is (170.00 x 78.1 x 9.70) mm and weighs 223 grams only. Moto G9 Plus is a mid-range smartphone from the house of Motorola’s popular G series phone. Motorola offers two color options for this model- Indigo Blue and Rose Gold. Regarding the other specifications, the phone comes with a 6.8″ Full HD+ hole-punch display with (1,080 x 2,400) pixels of screen resolution, and the phone also features a Max version display with HDR10 support.

The Moto G9 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable internal support, which could be expanded up to 512GB via an external MicroSD Card. The phone runs on an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.80GHz and the motherboard of this phone has a codename of “Odessa”.

Now to enlighten the camera part, the phone features a quad-read camera setup includes 64MP of the main sensor with an f/1.8 lens alongside 8MP of an ultra-wide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP of a macro sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and lastly another 2MP of depth sensor with f/2.2 lens. The back camera sensors are aligned in a larger rectangular cutout at the left corner. On the front side, the phone has a hole-punch cutout at the left corner of the screen to hold the 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.

The Motorola G9 Plus is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 30W of fast charging support. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, the Google Assistant button is placed on the left side of the phone.

The phone has 4G network connectivity. Moto G9 Plus has a dual Nano-SIM slot, while the other connectivity options of the Moto G9 Plus include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm earphone jack, and USB Type-C port for charging. The onboard sensors of the phone are- proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer.

As per the pricing and availability, the Moto G9 Plus was launched in Brazil at a price tag of BRL 2,249.10 (roughly Rs. 31,000) for the lone 4GB + 128GB storage model.

We already know that the RTX 3070 FE, much like the FE versions of the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090, utilizes NVIDIA’s new 12-pin power connector. According to sources, the 12-pin power connector provides the power of dual 8-pin power connectors in one more compact connector.

But, NVIDIA’s current budget Ampere card only requires up to 225 W of power, and it draws 75 W from the PCIe slot, which means that the RTX 3070 FE only needs 150 W of power. Hence, theoretically speaking, NVIDIA does not need to utilize all 12-pins to distribute this amount of wattage to the card.

Thus amidst the ongoing debate about Nvidia including a 12-pin power connector on the RTX 3070 FE, we have come across a recent tweet from NVIDIA GeForce. According to the tweet, the green team has replaced the 12-pin power connector with an 8-pin connector. And now NVIDIA GeForce has been promoting the RTX 3070 Founders Edition with an 8-pin power connector instead of the 12-pin one. But the company is still advertising the graphics card with a 12-pin power connector on its website;, Nvidia, you are confusing us here.

The RTX 3070 FE is still out of stock, and NVIDIA has not given any information about when it will begin shipping 8-pin versions of the card. But this time, NVIDIA has really confused fans about the power connector on the Founders Edition model. And no matter where you check on the internet, it is hard to find any reviews on the 8-pin connector card. Thus it is odd for Nvidia to be advertising the product.

TSMC’s 3nm fabrication process could revolutionize the silicon industry in 2022

The world’s biggest chip foundry TSMC is breaking records each year and grossing profits which you could never have imagined. Each year, they are shrinking their transistors and enabling efficient as well as powerful processors.

Take, for example, the new Apple M1 chip-based 5nm process has managed to beat hefty CPUs like Core i9-9900H drawing just 10W of power. This level of performance and efficiency have never been seen before, this is what TSMC is bringing to the chip industry.

Apart from the fact that Apple is TSMC’s biggest client, the Taiwanese foundry also supplies its chips to giants like AMD, MediaTek, NVIDIA, Qualcomm and others. TSMC has recently confirmed the fact that its 3nm production node is on track for full mass production in H2 2022, as per ITHome.

This is kind of expected, provided the fact that TSMC is investing millions of dollars in its R&D, even the 2nm node is in development already. TSMC’s 3nm node will pack in almost 250 million transistors per square millimetre of silicon which is almost two and half times denser than Intel’s 10nm node.

Whereas, to GPUs, this means a 3nm based GPU could pack in three times more transistors than the recently announced Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs. TSMC has promised 250 million transistors per square millimetre for its 3nm node; however, the reality may turn out nearer 300 million. 

This means 2.5x and 3x as denser chips than the current 7nm tech seen in AMD CPUs and graphics cards. Although I won’t be surprised if Apple brings 3nm based Apple Silicon in 2022, with immediate mass production, it might take some time for 3nm process to revolutionize the PC market.

AMD is expected to bring 5nm to Ryzen chips next year sometime now for their Zen 4 based processors, TSMC’s 4nm node could be an option for a lot of big players in the market as well. It might take some time for 3nm to be a reality, but considering the fact of how fast the industry is evolving, the performance improvement in the next 3-4 years could be breathtaking.

Apple has already launched its M1 chipset, and we all are impressed by the performance results of the processor from Apple. The company’s VP of software engineering Craig Federighi stated that the ARM version of Windows 10 could run natively on Apple Silicon M1 Macs. But the decision was left up to Microsoft.

But it’s not like crazy developers, and system testers around the globe will sit idly and wait for Microsoft to run Windows on Mac. A developer has found a workaround that enables the first virtualization of ARM Windows running successfully on an M1 Mac. The developer even goes as far as to claim that the performance is “pretty snappy.”

If we are indeed looking for Microsoft to run the ARM version of Windows on M1 based Mac, we have to wait for a long time as there are several issues with launching ARM-based windows.

‘Microsoft’s current licensing doesn’t allow its ARM version of Windows 10 to be used by Apple (since it’s not preinstalled). And previously, Microsoft said it didn’t have any news to share about it making a change to allow Boot Camp on ARM Macs.”

The developer Alexander Graf successfully made some tweaks to get his M1 Mac running the Windows OS as virtualization. The developer stated that Windows ARM64 could run x86 applications well. It’s not as fast as Rosetta 2, but close. According to Alexander Graf, the process he followed is reproducible and doesn’t offer full system stability.

“He was able to achieve this by running the Windows ARM64 Insider Preview by virtualizing it through the Hypervisor. Framework. This framework allows users to interact with virtualization technologies in user space without having to write kernel extensions (KEXTs), according to Apple. Moreover, this wouldn’t have been possible without applying a custom patch to the QEMU virtualizer. QEMU is an open-source machine emulator and virtualizer. It’s known for “achieving near-native performance” by directly executing the guest code on the host CPU. So it goes without saying that only ARM guests can be perfectly virtualized on an ARM machine like the M1-supported Macs.”

It is the highest level of gains since March of 2000.

Reports indicate that Citigroup raised its target price on SoftBank to 11,000 yen from 10,200 yen. The Nomura Holdings raised its target to 9,100 yen from 8,190 yen on SoftBank’s stocks. “We see plenty of room for the shares to rise against a backdrop of aggressive share buybacks and efforts to improve financial health.”

The impact of Covid-19 and the sudden issue of lockdowns and restrictions made SoftBank suffer huge losses in the last fiscal year. However, SoftBank’s founder Masayoshi Son responded by unveiling plans to sell 4.5 trillion yen (S$57.9 billion) in assets and buy back a record 2.5 trillion yen of his own stock. But, Lenovo has not confirmed anything regarding the name of the upcoming smartphone series. If we check some history of Lenovo, this company used to sell Lemon-branded midrange phones a few years ago. But it could not compete more with the smartphone of other brands. So, after some time this Lemon series smartphones gradually started disappearing from the market.

Recently, Lenovo has also confirmed that the company is working to bring back its Lemon series smartphones again in the market of China. Generally, the entry-level smartphones from Lenovo were the Lemon series smartphones. Apart from this, a new smartphone having the model number: XT2091-7 has been surfaced on TENAA’s website. It features a 6.78-inch display and is fueled by a 5,640mAH battery. As of now, nothing is confirmed. But it may be the next Lemon series smartphone of Lenovo.
