Intel’s Rocket Lake-S Desktop CPU benchmark is now leaked on the internet; it shows the CPU performance with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, which is based on a 7nm chip of Zen 3 core architecture. @TUM_APISAK revealed the recent benchmark about the chip running on an HP Omen OEM desktop PC, which now, clearly indicates that partners and OEMs have early access to the Rocket Lake. It is expected to launch in early 2021.

The HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0xxx contains the HP 886C motherboard where the Rocket Lake CPU was tested. The motherboard is an HP exclusive motherboard, and it has an LGA 1200 socket that will support 11th generation Intel Core processors.

The Core i9-11900K power is going to power the Intel Rocket Lake CPU, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads. The SKU should be the best since the Rocket Lake maxes out at 8 cores. This chipset features 16MB of L3 cache, 4MB of L2 cache, and clock speeds of 3.40 GHz base and 5.00 GHz boost. It is reported in the Geekbench 5 data that the boost clock was able to function normally by running all cores at around 5.0 GHz clocks.

The Intel Rocket Lake CPU was able to score 1645 points in the single-core and the multi-core, it scored 9783 points. Whereas, the Ryzen 7 5800X scored 1661 in single-core and 10367 points in multi-core. We know, these are not Rocket Lake CPU’s final clock speeds. It is expected that the 11th gen family will be a bit faster than the Zen 3 based Vermeer family.

The Core i7-10700K, the Rocket Lake CPU is 9% faster in multi-threaded test and 21% faster in the single-core test than its predecessor. Meanwhile, compared to the Rocket Lake CPU, the Core i9-10900K is 17% slower in the single-core test but 12% faster because of the higher number of threads and cores.

Some Key Features of Intel Rocket Lake CPU:

  • Increased Performance with new Cypress Cove core architecture
  • Up to 8 cores and 16 threads (Double Digit IPC Gains Over Skylake)
  • New Xe graphics architecture (Up To 50% higher Performance Than Gen9)
  • Increased DDR4 3200 MHz Memory Support

These are the battery capacities of the three phones and all of them are pretty huge and can easily last more than a day. But obviously, it will matter a few hours between a 1,000mAh difference. Along with this the fast charging tags along and makes both the Moto and OnePlus a comparable choice.

Price and Availability

The Moto G 5G carries a price tag of Rs.20,999 for its sole 6GB RAM/128GB variant. It is available on Flipkart.

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is priced at Rs.29,990 for its 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. It is also available on Flipkart.

Verdict

Overall if you want to have a cheap 5G smartphone over anything then go for Moto G 5G. If you want to have a properly balanced smartphone that has both performance, display, and camera capability as well. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is best for its camera performance and design. Now, from my experience, I would like to suggest buyers go for the OnePlus Nord variants for an overall performance balancer.

For the past couple of days, news has been roaming out in the market that Apple may launch its first foldable iPhone in 2022. It is not the first time we are hearing such kind of news. Earlier, we also got a similar kind of news regarding the foldable segment of Apple. But, Apple has not confirmed anything yet as it is currently working on the foldable technology. As per reports, the company is already getting iPhone testing samples from a Taiwanese factory.

As per the reports, Apple is currently working with Foxconn and has asked the suppliers of the required components to send the samples to Foxconn for further testing. Apple is in the works of the upcoming foldable iPhones for the very first time. So, the company has to be very precise in its work to carry forward its reputation in the technology market.

Apple may launch its first foldable iPhone in 2022, Foxconn to build test units for it

Another report has come out as well that for the display panels of the foldable iPhones Apple is shaking its hands with the South Korean tech giant Samsung. Nissei will supply the hinge of the iPhones. apart from it, Foxconn will be there for further assembling and make the first foldable iPhone ready for users.

It is expected that Apple will use an OLED or a Micro LED for the display panel. We are not quite sure whether Apple will use the AMOLED panel of Samsung for the display of its future foldable smartphones. As it will be a foldable one, we can expect a punch-hole or under-display selfie camera in place of the regular big notch selfie camera for iPhones.

So looking at all the speculations and testing, we can not expect the very first foldable iPhone to get launched before the second half of 2022.
