Andrew Bogut calls it an end to his illustrious basketball career after 15-long years

0

Australian big man, Andrew Bogut announced his retirement from professional basketball. He announced his retirement on his Rogue Bogues Podcast Monday. Retirement was something on Bogut’s mind for too long now and thus his decision to decamp wasn’t shocking.

The 7 feet giant started his professional career back in 2005 when the Milwaukee Bucks selected him as the number 1 pick of the 2005 NBA Draft. In his first year, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He also finished third in votes for the NBA Rookie of the Year award after averaging 9.4 points and 7 rebounds per game in his first year. Bogut went on to increasing and bettering his stats in the upcoming years.

It was in 2009-2010 that was Andrew Bogut’s breakout season. He finished the season averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game, earning himself the All-NBA Third Team honours, becoming the first Bucks player to do so since Michael Redd in 2003-2004.

His great success as a professional came after a trade taking him to San Francisco playing for the Golden State Warriors. On 13th March 2012, Bogut was brought to the Warriors in a trade-in exchange for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown.

Andrew Bogut remembers that,” I missed the Olympics that year, had all the pressure of Golden State trading a fan-favourite in Monte (Ellis), and getting me.” But Bogut had to undergo many surgeries and injuries throughout his first season with the Warriors.

Bogut signed a three-year contract extension with Golden State, in October of 2013. This set the stage for the big man emerging as an integral part of the Warriors’ dynasty.

In his 8th NBA season, Andrew Bogut won his first NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015, after defeating LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the finals. After a few years at the Warriors, Bogut even played for the Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers where he didn’t really have a significant impact.

Andrew returned to his homeland to play for the Sydney Kings of the Australian National Basketball League. After the conclusion of the 2018-2019 NBL Regular season, Bogut was James the NBL Most Valuable Player, averaging 11.6 points per game to go along with 329 rebounds, 98 assists and 77 blocked shots. Despite being the MVP, he couldn’t lead the Kings to an NBL championship. The Kings had a third-place finish before losing 2-0 to the Melbourne United in the semi-finals.

Andrew Bogut decided to make a comeback to the NBA after signing with the Golden State Warriors again in 2019. But the Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals. After signing with the Sydney Kings, yet again for the 2019-2020 NBL season, he decided no to re-sign with them on May 25th, 2020.

Andrew Bogut had an above-average NBA career but had a great career at the NBL. He will definitely go down as one of the greatest Australians to play the sport. He said that he just wanted to decompress, wait till the next year and figure out what he wanted to do. With over $100 million in career earnings, the Australian choosing to enjoy the success of his hard work is only reasonable. He truly has been an inspiration for many kids around the globe.

AMD GPU prices being inflated due to limited stock in the market

0

The YouTube channel called Hardware Unboxed recently talked about the situation on Radeon RX 6800 series. The video covers the topic of non-existent Radeon RX 6800 stock and also about the inflation of prices on its custom models. Cards that were immediately sold out at MSRP were all reference models.

According to the streamers, the retailers would not take pre-orders on the cards. Even if they did manage to do it, the pricing then was simply put horrendous and extremely over the officially suggested retail pricing from AMD. According to sources, AMD has already acknowledged the problem of inflated pricing, and the manufacturer is already working on ‘enabling’ AIBs to achieve the MSRP target within two months.

“We have had a private conversation with AMD. They assured us that in 4 to 8 weeks, there would be AIB cards available at MSRP. They said they enabled the AIBs to achieve the 649 dollars [RX 6800 XT] MSRP, and they expect that to happen within eight weeks,” stated one of the speakers in the YouTube video.

The retailers offering fake MSRP creates a problem for reviewers. The early adopters of the reference’s models were put in a tough spot, as the card’s performance to dollar charts are simply misleading to customers who are unable to find these cards at such prices. One of the reasons for the high pricing of the Big Navi cards could be the limited number of GPU stock in the market. One more prominent reason could be the limited margin for AIBs, and the retailers seem to be taking advantage of this.

Top Tips for Staying Safe on Online Casinos

0

The popularity of online casinos continues to grow as lockdowns make more gamers and gamblers explore entertainment options. There are risks, however, to playing on iGaming platforms, especially if you are new to the industry. That said, all it takes to stay safe is caution and knowledge of how online gambling works. Below are four issues you should take into your own hands before joining a new provider.

1. Check the Casino’s Reliability

In the digital age, it is very easy to uncover a service’s reputation. Gather as much detail as possible to see whether or not they inspire confidence. To begin with, browse comparison sites, forums, and comments on social media for hints of the impression an online casino has made so far.

At the same time, read through its terms and conditions for a better idea of how organized and friendly the whole system is. Above all, make sure the casino has a valid license alongside a fun but professional presence.

2. Check the Payment and Security Systems

You should look at the more technical side of any online casino that interests you. Since iGaming involves money and personal data, playing safely mainly comes down to security. Firstly, you could go the extra mile and get to know the different types and features of SSL certificates.

Then you can check what the casino uses and judge its safety for yourself. Another important matter to investigate is how incoming and outgoing transactions happen, not to mention their speed and tracking options.

3. Choose the Best Banking Method

Apart from researching the iGaming platform, deciding how to best transfer funds would be another smart move on your end. Some countries, for example, don’t allow the use of banks, so it is handy to know exactly what is open to you.

Popular methods among online casino fans include eWallets, digital cards, and Online Payment Service Providers (PSP). But different platforms may come with restrictions for particular banking systems, another reason to explore the matter in depth.

4. Keep Payments and Data Secure

The responsibility of protecting your transactions and sensitive information should start with you. When making and receiving payments, keep track of everything. When creating copies of your ID for casinos with extra security measures, you could keep them in a local folder on your computer and protect them with a password.

In fact, the more interactions with online casinos you can encrypt the better. Think outside the box when choosing security tips to follow, like using passphrases instead of passwords or storing bank details in an external drive you can easily disconnect. There are many ways to gain peace of mind when having a good time on online casinos. Modern software for banking and security go a long way, as does simply boosting your awareness of digital gambling. Specifically, research each platform’s reputation and offerings, as well as what tricks you can employ to keep your data safe. Careful use of all these matters ensures you can make the most of iGaming.

ISL 2020-21: Can East Bengal get their first victory under Robbie Fowler tonight?

SC East Bengal face Mumbai City FC in their second match in the Hero ISL today, in Goa. Considering their derby loss to ATK Mohun Bagan in their first outing as an ISL Club, the pressure will be on the boys in Red and Yellow to secure their first victory against Mumbai.

Mumbai themselves have also endured a shaky start to the campaign, losing to NorthEast United in their first match, before returning to winning ways as they dispatched FC Goa in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

The Cityzens will go into the match with a slight advantage, considering that this will be their third time taking the pitch in Goa. However, their squad was quite heavily rotated in their outing against FC Goa. It is safe to say that the Islanders are also slowly experimenting and finding their footing in the league.

As for East Bengal, their debut match against ATK Mohun Bagan was a promising display in midfield. They managed to pass the ball to the final third quite efficiently with the likes of Steinmann and Maghoma moving the ball around crisply, as well as with accuracy.

mohun bagan east bengal ISL 2020-21: Can East Bengal get their first victory under Robbie Fowler tonight?

On two extremes, though, there is plenty of work to be done. The newcomers were quite risky in playing out from the back and often lost the ball unnecessarily. The debutants were not very composed at the back and were often casual as well.

Kolkata Derby ATK MB 571 855 ISL 2020-21: Can East Bengal get their first victory under Robbie Fowler tonight?

From the attacking side of things, the final ball needed more weight and confidence. Balwant Singh’s finishing left a lot to be desired, and it would fare Robbie Fowler better to start the experienced Jeje Lalpekhlua instead.

While the match will be evenly contested for sure, it is likely that Fowler will be able to get his first victory as manager of East Bengal against Mumbai City FC today. However, it won’t come easy.

Indian Wrestling: Why are the top Indian Wrestlers missing the Individual World Cup in Belgrade?

0

With the Individual World Cup lingering on everyone’s shoulders, every gambler that follows wrestling has been looking forward to a bet or two.  According to Indian local betting sites, the odds are very much in favour of all the Indian wrestlers that were due to take part.  We are using the term ‘were’ since some of the top Indian Wrestlers have decided to pull out of the competition and not take part in this year’s competition. The Individual Wrestling World Cup was due to take place in Belgrade Serbia later on this month, and some of the big names taking part representing India included Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat. Joining this two in skipping the Individual World Cup is silver medallist Jitendher Kina, the 74-kilo silver medallist star from the Asian Wrestling Championship.  Joining the excused team will also be Somvir.  They all have excused themselves from attending the world cup that was scheduled to take place between the 12th and the 18th December 2020.

If we have a closer look at why the Indian Wrestlers are not participating, it is very much related to what the world is currently facing in 2021. Vinesh told reporters everywhere that it is fruitless for her to participate since all the pro wrestlers in her category will not be attending and participating.

On the other hand, Bajrang, another pro wrestler in India, has stated that he will travel to Michigan in the coming days. Only recently married to a fellow professional wrestler, he stated that he will be attending a Wrestling Championship in the US to settle the sore with further wrestlers in the 70k category. Other notable names that will also join Barjang at the tournament are Jordan Oliver, James Greene, Evan Henderson, Joey McKenna, Pat Lugo, Bryce Meredith and Anthony Ashnault. There is a 25,000 $ up for grabs for the overall championship winner, which is quite a sizeable amount if you ask us. Indian betting sites have their odds all set on Barjang, will they be able to take the prize home?

Earlier in November, the United World Wrestling (UWW) announced that they will be cancelling the upcoming tournament that was set to take place in Belgrade, Serbia. Many of the wrestlers that were due to take part, refused to go to Serbia and take part in the tournament. After all, Serbia and many countries spread across the EU were currently facing a second deadly wave of coronavirus.  And to be fair, the athletes are right. The World Wrestling Championships was finally announced to be rebranded and replaced with the Individual Wrestling Championship

Vinor Tomar, the WFI secretary announced that this time around, there was no time for anyone to conduct and train and heats prior to the tournament. Apart from this, Tomar highlighted that the world or to be precise many countries across the world are either in lockdown or heading into one, thus any form of competition with the masses gathering, would not be allowed to take place anywhere. Tomar added that with all of this in mind, the WFI opted to send some of her biggest athletes to train and compete in the Sr. Wrestling Championships in Delhi. Hopefully, this will be enough for the team to be able to make it big at the Individual event.

At the very beginning when the Individual Wrestling Championship was announced, the Indian Wrestling team opted to send as many wrestlers as it could, possibly in every single weight category possible. All 30 weight – Both including men and women with also Greco-Roman combat style.  With some of the players postponing their representation, they WFI decided it was not the best time to send Bajrang, Vinesh and also their weight categories for the championship. And finally, the Indian team welcomes ban athlete who comes back to the team after a 4-year ban following a doping ban. Yadav is named as the replacement athlete to take Jitender’s spot and it is quite good that the team gave him a chance. Narsingh will also be given a solid chance. This is redemption time for Narsingh who was banned following the 2016 Rio Olympics. Following an investigation, he was handed a 4-year ban from the Anti-Doping Agency. 4 Years ago, we all thought that Narsingh’s career was completely over. Well, think again, the athlete returned back to the training camp in September, and he is honestly ready to rumble.

Sports players that are living as if they won the lottery

1

Where do you spend the money when you can afford every luxury in the world? Many sports players have different luxurious lifestyles, which they have maintained for several years.

Sports might be their passion, but apart from that, the money that they have made from playing their favorite sport, they have spent it in following other passions and hobbies.

Winning money with a lottery jackpot can be spent on several luxuries, but sports players earn it by playing for their teams.

Living life, king-size with a lottery jackpot

Looking at the lifestyles of certain sports players, it can be said that they had won lottery jackpots, but that is not true. It is the years of hard work, struggle, and experience that pays off in the end.

We must learn from sports players how to spend their hard-earned money to fulfil their dreams. Some of them spent it on buying properties, while others believe in buying cars, bikes, and other motors.

Let’s have a look at some of the richest sports players in the world and their lifestyle to see how they spend their money.

Vince McMahon

No one in the world is not aware of the wealth and grandeur of this American former wrestler. Today, he controls the entire functioning and operations of WWE by becoming the CEO.

He often says that he is afraid of failing; that is why he has several properties around the world. We must learn from him how to live a luxurious lifestyle.

Michael Jordan

He has several hobbies. But one of the most dominant ones is gambling. He is often spotted in casinos and clubs placing bets. He sometimes wins and sometimes loses, but there’s nothing that could stop him from gambling.

M.S. Dhoni

If you want to see how to spend money when you become a millionaire, you have to learn it from M.S. Dhoni.

  • This man has built himself from scratch. From being a ticket checker on the railway to become a heartthrob cricketer, it has been a long journey.
  • Famous for his helicopter shots, he is also popular for his collection of luxurious bikes.
  • Apart from this, he has a lavish home in Mumbai, where he resides with his family.

Tiger Woods

All the players live and spend money as they have just won a lottery. But that is because they have worked too hard to reach where they are. Establishing a career in sports is not easy.

Tiger Woods has a net worth of $740 million, and that is because he plays one of the most expensive games in the world: golf. This American golfer had a dream, and he made it true, now he spends money like it’s water.

Virat Kohli

This man needs no introduction. Virat Kohli has helped the Indian cricket team to reach global heights. He has put the Indian cricket team on the global map.

Famous for his aggressive and competitive attitude, he has expensive properties in and around Mumbai. He also spends a fortune to plan vacations with his family to exotic locations.

LeBron James

He is considered the greatest basketball player of all time; that Is why he has a high fan following worldwide. He played in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The net worth of LeBron James is around $500 million. With a shoe selling a business in his name, he has become a household name. Everyone who loves him wants to buy his shoes.

Cristiano Ronaldo

When you think about football, it is impossible not to think about Cristiano Ronaldo.

  • This man has single-handedly broken all football records and won the ‘player of the year’ award several times.
  • However, he lives quite a lavish lifestyle. He had the most luxurious bikes because he liked to go bike riding.
  • Apart from that, he also makes considerable donations to charity for the causes that he feels deeply about.

David Beckham

He is a global football icon. Most people follow him not only for how he plays but also because of his looks. He has a substantially immense female fan following. For most of his career, he played for English team Manchester United and the England National team.

He has various luxurious interests. People mostly see him spending vacations with his family to costly locations. Recently he was spotted enhanced in beekeeping activities.

Conclusion

Ever wondered if you could afford the lifestyle for just one day that these sports players live? Yes, it takes sweat, blood, and tears to reach there, but once you become wealthy enough to fulfil all your dreams, you don’t have to remember the struggle anymore. Don’t wait for the jackpot to come to you; work for it.
